So many talented people I’ve never heard of. I don’t watch any of the other talent shows (they have a tendency to make it as much or more about the judges than the contests). It’s Eurovision only for me.

I’m half considering going to the Australia Decides final, but Queensland is prone to shut its borders at short notice to other states. I’ll have to wait and see, if tickets remain available in the new year.

Sheldon's version of "Can't Get You Out of My Head" during America's Got Talent last year was amazing, shame he was eliminated by a Golden Buzzer singer in the quarterfinals

Oh wow! - Apart from Samantha Jade (yes, I will bring her up again. Stanning hard!), Sheldon Riley has been high on my wishlist as well! I didn`t expect him to join the upcoming national final! That's great news! - I just hope his song will be strong... his performances on The Voice were stunning and totally captivating - his voice is very distinctive and memorable and I can totally see him performing well in Eurovision (if he gets the chance to).

@Simon I hope that you can attend it live.
Unfortunately, European countries are slowly but surely coming up with stricter measurements and restrictions as well. My concerts for December and spring next year already got rescheduled... some of them even for 2023.

We actually gave Belgium 24 points in 2016, they got the 12 points from our jury and our televote :ROFLMAO:

I think the general tendency is for our televote to give high points to high energy, upbeat, and/or gimmicky numbers since those of us stupid enough to wake up at 5am really just need the energy boost. I mean there's definitely a bit of a clear pattern in our televote 12 points:

@Kaz Thanks for bringing this up again! - I was quite sure about :au: giving 12 pts to :be: (televoting) but I didn´t care enough to look it up :D - The other 12 points look pretty decent, imo - personally, I don´t like :rs: 2015 BUT giving 24 pts to :be: back in 2016 is so random, imo! - I can understand why some people like it due to the so-called "energy boost at 5 am" (interesting observation!) as well as being instant (and kinda Queen-ish) but it is really striking that both - the Australian juries and televoters alike awarded their 12 pts to that entry in a diverse and strong year.

*still praying for Samantha Jade to be announced as a participant later today*
