THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS! DAMI IM SO DESERVED TO WIN!!! DON'T WORRY DAMI, YOU ARE THE REAL WINNER!
OBVIOUSLY ALL THOSE UKRAINIAN IMMIGRANTS EVERYWHERE VOTED FOR UKRAINE!
Australia wouldn't even be in top 3 lad if it weren't for juries rigging

I wonder if this song would have finished 1st if last year's combined voting scores had been used?

That's a very good question, I'd like to know as well.

Great song Australia. Sorry about the result. I wouldn't have minded if you won. You deserved it as much as Jamala.

So the fact she finished 4th in the televote compared to CZE's 26th must mean Europeans really hate all Czechs and their presence according to your logic?

If you're gonna troll, at least don't make it easy for people to bash your own country.

She was robbed, but she did so damn great with the juries.. I love Ukraine but I would rather see Australia winning.

I don't live in Czech Republic. I'm not trolling - I'm just upset that juries tried so hard to make this win. The presence of this country is still illegal according to EBU rules and most of Europeans I talked to are very confused about Australia participates in the contest. What should I tell them when they ask me why this country is participating? Should I tell them that EBU is a corrupt organisation that wants more and more money so they invite a rich country from Southern Hemisphere?

Besides, :cz: was last because EBU put them on a death slot in the final and they put :au: on best slot possible. Also :cz: doesn't have a big diaspora and is not a popular country, unlike Australia.

Well you can't say the press and EBU didn't try in the last 2/3 days xshrug

Saand/Bjorkman are probably perplexed as hell that the televoters didn't swallow their medicine for a second year in a row

I love Australia's participation in this contest. I just don't understand why this scored so high. It's bland imo.

Be upset all you want, but how does Europe hating Australia's "illegal participation's" as you say, see it being the 4th most voted song?! According to your logic, it should be between 20th-26th if people were so 'outraged'. Apparently, it seems people really don't give a damn as much you to do.

Because :au: were outside of the Top 3 in the televoting despite being EBU's favorite and having the best slot in the final.

Think some of the public probably found the song to repetitive like me, I don't find this song special at all her vocals are good however.

It wasn't my favourite and I didn't want it to win either, but it would have been interesting to see what happened after they won. Which country would have been hosting it together with SBS? Germany, as stated in an article last year, or the runner up? Or would SBS not be hosting at all and the runner up would have been hosting anyways?

What on earth did the EBU have anything to do with the performance?! It's not like they blacked out every other song and only showed Dami's.

Sure she had a good slot, but she WON HER SEMI. What do you want them to do? Stick the winner of the semi in the deathslot?! You'd be fired alone on any tv network for that. #13 isn't exactly the "best" slot either, and if you think 4th highest votes in Europe, despite not having the Russian/Polish diaspora to boost it is bad, then you really need to take a course in statistics...

Random order would do fine. They shouldn't be choosing who's going perform when because they can easily manipulate the results. Australia does have diaspora in Western Europe and Australian entries stand out because of the fact that you guys are located far from Europe and it is mentioned very often so people are voting based on that as well.

I hope this is the last participation of Australia in this contest. Hopefully they will create their own Australasian version of Eurovision and just leave Europe alone. It was nice to have Australia as a one-off event but the current situation is unacceptable.
