Iveta was the "wow" performance of 2016 for me.....just fantastic staging and the most complete performance for me.

For the whole package, including the staging, that could well be the case. The Australian one was good vocally but the staging wasn't that great.

I expected a higher position here. Though, she wasn't as superb as in the semi when it comes to vocals....but still, a good result nontheless and congrats on another top 10.

Interesting trivia :She has a sister who lives in India and she is a famous make-up artist for Bollywood stars

Bonus :She sings a jazz (?) version of "Lovewave"

Does anybody know what the EBU has decided upon the flag incident in the semi? It was said that their decision would be at the next meeting in June and today is the first of July.....

They blurred that "flag moment" in the DVD, now during the recap, it's like they zoomed in on a foggy place (or people who obviously smoked too much in the arena)

They did nothing, and rightfully so. This is a total non-issue, and Azerbaijan needs to accept the realities of its failed hostile and xenophobic attitudes towards Armenians.

I was just asking about an announced decision. Keep your personal political opinion for yourself please or go to the politics thread. I'm sure there are loads of people who will happily discuss all these issues with you. I don't. I want to know if EBU sticks to their rules and announcements once.

lovewave does literally everything entirely right and what every entry should aspire to be. the impact of iveta's holograms is still shaking my soul ever since her semi performance. 7th place was actually high for an entry the world will never ever, EVERRRR be ready for. ETERNALLY ICONIC.

One of my favorites, also! Performance was stunning and breathtaking, she was alone on the stage, but she owned every camera cut so perfectly. I still listen to this song and love it. After she nailed her performance I was convinced she will be in the top 5 at least, but 7th place is also great achievement!

7th place was a good achievement considering that the song's not everyone taste to say it like that
I love it though

1 point - I just don't dislike the instrumental part of the track.
I didn't like her slurring the words together. It sounded very strange to me and the song itself isn't accessable at all.
BUT she blew me away with her SUPER PROFESSIONAL and seductive performance! Visually stunning! I even voted for it a few times even though I hated the song but I thought that a performance of such brilliance deserves recognizition
