Re: ARMENIA 2012

Im Anune Hayastan e (My Name is Armenia)

This is great!! I really like it. I never liked their entry in 2009. I thought their choreography was nice, but not the song. However, this song worth listening to it all day.
And no to Andre! Once for him was enough and he was too overrated.

That song is a new one. The heartbeat of my land or We and our mountains is great too, just listen to it. I don't think Andre will go.he just is Ready to go as other singers.or maybe he'll go with Sirusho in duo, let's say.they are good friends,i heard :)

And the Armenian Drama will continue untill the EBU deadline for the confirmation of participating countries... :!::!::!:

ARMTV DECIDES FOR ESC 2012 BY END OF THE YEAR

By the end of 2011, it will be known whether Armenia will participate in Baku-hosted Eurovision 2012 or not, the head of the Armenian delegation to Eurovision said. Gohar Gasparyan told a press conference that Armenian office of the contest will inform event organizers about Armenia’s final decision. “We still don’t have any definite answer or any news concerning the “Eurovision 2012” international music contest. We’re anticipating for guarantees,” Gohar Gasparyan, said in a news conference.

Agree with all except for the '09 entry, I think the other-way, the song was nice but the performance didn't fit the song imo.

Armenia is the shame of Europe. Eurovision is a symbol of peace and by withdrawing of the contest they show all their stupidity and their racism. It would be better in the future that they never come back please, Eurovision doesn't need such country.

For you Belarus is shame of Europe, Armenia is shame of Europe, where you stop? What do you know about situation there?
I'm very sad in order they always send good and creative entries, but I respect their decision, it was expected. It's better to give up than make a political troubles in Baku.

See ya Hayastan in 2013.

well, you don't know the reason yet.
Ok, the most probable one is the fact of the security of the Armenian delegation in Azerbeidjan.
But ok, let's wait and see:)
It's sad if it's true because except for 2009 and 2011 i loved their songs

Re: ARMENIA 2012

Armenia withdraws from the contest. On 15 december they will announce that officially.

Sad to hear (if true). Armenia have become one of my favorite ESC countries, with except for a couple of entries, having overall good entries imo.

I always said its better to enter and let Azerbaijan deal with it, but in a sense I can understand the withdrawal aswell. It's tricky.

Re: ARMENIA 2012

and the source? and the reason?

I guess that is speculative, from i hear the Armenians are ready to go, I and talked with members of the OGAE Armenia and also from the OGAE Azerbaijan, they told me that the Armenians are ready to go, as long as the Azeris are involved to give them security and respect them.

How do you want that Armenia will compete when they still in war with Azerbaijan..??? :? In some cases its better chosse the life than risk it in some song pageant who can compete every year, scpecially its held in the enemy country, im sorry its im being politic here but its the truth.

Re: ARMENIA 2012

I really don't see a reason for such an attitude from the Armenian side  Well, I understand very well that we are still in war and we have no diplomatic and economic relations with each other BUT two responsible person namely the President of Public TV and the Minister of Youth and Sport as well as some other officials told about their readiness to guarantee the security for Armenian delegation. moreover they openly invited and welcomed Armenia to take part in the contest in Baku. Furthermore, over the past year there were different visits of state officials, sport and cultural delegations as well as the visit of the Catholicos Garegin II to Azerbaijan. So why now to make all this fuss about security and life risks during the participation at a song contest? :?

p.s. I hope those negative news with no source to be rumours and Armenia takes part in Baku edition of ESC. Let's wait for the official announcement.
