That song is the worst abomination ever to emerge from Eurovision, just saying.

Im not messing up my maths, you were suggesting that so long as Sweden gets above 81 points it will overtake the United Kingdom, and Im stating that that is simply incorrect unless we get zero points (unlikely).

We'd only need a Scooch result (votes from 2 countries) and already Sweden would need 100-points or more to overtake us.

As I said myself, it is possible for Sweden to top this list this year, but the odds are they wont.

Sweden and also Ireland have overtaken Britain long ago by average points per contest. You are just lucky UK joined Eurovision earlier.

Who on earth is that a picture of above smiling?

We all know who this iconic, prize winning Bulgarian legend is though..

Tbh I was just looking to cause more of a fuss :p well winning is all that matters so clearly we win. also, we're clearly miles ahead of shit Sweden and ugly UK in terms of our national music industry. was it a Swedish band or a British band that had their new cd automatically downloaded onto everyone's iphones last year? I DON'T THINK SO

For most fair scoreboard of all time I suggest count it this way

count % of total amount of points that possible certain year

for example in 2012 participated 42 countries, 1 set of voting is 56 points, so 42x56=2352 points

Sweden got 372 points, so 15,81%. So let's count it as 15,81 points

UK in 1968 (for example, i have no idea about it) with system 1-3-5, received 25 points. Participated 15 countries, 15x8=120, so this means UK got 20,83% - 20,83 points

Now when all will be counted, we can get more real results, without convering these old systems of voting to current one

I don't think this is fair at all. It's easier to get close to total points with few countries than many. If there are many countries especially from ex-Soviet and ex-yugoslavia then it's harderto get close to total points.

Lol, I just read all the pages on this thread. Yeah Sweden is awesome at Eurovision, the UK well we used to be but we had the big advantage of the few countries singing in English back then. Personally if there is one country I would like to see take the top spot from the UK then it would definitely be Sweden.

And when it comes to the UK music industry compared to Sweden, yes Sweden punch above their weight but a lot of music I find from them are quite manufactured. I find British music artists are more talented, that's why the music is classic. The Beatles, Queen, Elton John, Adele, their music will be played forever, Sweden have got ABBA but that's it really. I'm not hating, it's just how I see it.

You're never going to think it's fair unless everyone is saying 'sveden isbest!!# undo my sad!!!', are you?

Well, and you don't think it's fair as long UK don't top it. How are you different than me?? Lol.

No that way Trece said isn't more fair than the scoreboard in the OP.

It's harder to get total points with all new countries from the East.

GRE You got a good idea by creating this thread  It unleashes passions and drives some members wild! I'm sure you did not think it'd turn out that way though

I should have known not to even bother saying anything here, the Swedes can't cope with being told "no" lol... remember saying that I wanted Danny to win Melodifestivalen instead of Loreen and they practically ate me alive. They take everything as one big insult!

I don't want to take part in this debate, thankfully the ESC United members do not represent the majority of Brits or Swedes, if some people can't get over themselves because they confuse patriotism and jingoism when it comes to Eurovision... Then one shouldn't add fuel to the fire, this "who's got the biggest one" fight is pointless, the UK and Sweden are great in their own ways and this scoreboard has only an indicative value. No one will ever be content with it since Eurovision changed a lot throughout the years, why not consider it as it is: a mere unofficial scoreboard? ;)

Lol, and that should come from you UK members????? In what way are you better than the Swedes????

Look at you UK people. You are freaking out because Sweden is going to catch your mighty God United Kingdom, lol.

What about to watch at yourself in the mirror before talking about how bad Swedes are?
