^^Well I can't say its any better or worse until they change the language. They might prepare great lyrics in English that fit the song perfectly.

I don't think the song is that heavy based on ethno to suffer from a language change.

Well, if they want to change a song for the better, they should firstly look at the song imo and not language.

But most probably they will update both the song and change language aswell.

yes the entry was great in 2010, but look at what place Albania came in. Albania can never win ESC, even with good songs they always end up at the bottom. Thats why I like this song, Aurela's. its different then the other Albanian entries, so its time to experiment with more traditional Albanian music. I don't think she will change it in English, maybe she will promote the song with a English version. But her English is good anyway, so even if she does, it will be great.... and even if this song doesn't make it to the final, I wont get mad, because we are sending different songs, not just pop songs. I wouldn't want another song like "its all about you" this year.[

/I wish Albania all the best - and I must say, that I liked the Albanian songs during the last years. And perhaps people will like this song - and an experiment is always a good thing. ]

But I agree with A-lister, that the changing of the language not means, that a song will get better. I think a change in the arrangement will be more successfull.

Exactly! A language change is just a change of language, but it's still the same song if arrangement/production won't be changed.

I completely agree that the song needs to be changed and improved. All I was saying is that the language will also be changing and I'm hoping that is also an improvement - sometimes it backfires.

I actually wish they won't change the language, I want to hear more languages on ESC. Also, as some of you have already pointed out, it won't make the song any more memorable. In my oppionion, though, what they need to change imediately is her hair style.

Albania: Aurela travels to LA to record Eurovision entry!

BREAKING NEWS!

This year's Albanian representative, Aurela Gace, will travel today to Los Angeles to record the new version of her song Kënga ime. Aurela has decided to put her other music projects on hold and in the coming months she will only be focused on the Eurovision Song Contest.

esctoday.com had the opportunity to have a short talk this morning with Aurela Gaçe just before she flies to Los Angeles.

How is the preparation of the Eurovision entry going?
We have done a lot and everything is going fine so far. In few hours me and my team will fly to Los Angeles to work on the final version of Kënga ime. We will also record in Los Angeles at a renowned studio the new version of the song which will be used in Eurovision.

We saw a trailer of your new video a few days ago on YouTube. Can you tell us more about this?
That’s the trailer of my new song CaSh which was supposed to be released in January. I’m collaborating this time with the famous Albanian hip hop singer MC Kresha. CaSh will be the first single from my upcoming album but I have decided to publish this song, the video and as well as the new album after Eurovision since I only will be focused on Kënga ime and Eurovision until May, stated Aurela.
