Re: ALBANIA 2011 - Aurela Gaçe - Kënga Ime
FEEL THE PASSION - Aurela to sing in English!
Aurela Gaçe, the Albanian representative at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, has given more details to esctoday.com about her Eurovision entry. Feel the passion is the new song title of the song to be performed in Düsseldorf. The entry became more of a rock song, but it has an ethno touch in the orchestration.
After a consultation between Aurela and her team, they decided to choose English as the language for the Albanian entry at Eurovision 201, although it will keep some verses in Albanian. Feel the passion, the new version of Kënga ime, has more rock elements but the ethnic sound is not missing in the new orchestration.
The Albanian team has been for 10 days in Los Angeles to record their Eurovision entry at the worldwide renowned Village Studios. Many famous musicians who worked with international names like Michael Jackson, Madonna, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga, etc. also worked on the Albanian entry.
These are the names of the people who have worked on the song Feel the passion: Michael Frondelli (recording & mixing engineer), Gene Grimaldi (mastering engineer), John "Jr" Robinson (drums), Nathan East (bass) and Michael Tompson (guitar).
The final mastering of the song has been done in Oasis Studio. Three backing vocals have been added to the song -Lamont Van Hook, Monet and Beverly-, plus the famous Albanian composer with an international career, Aldo Shllaku.
Aurela and her team arrived last weekend back in the country and this week they will start recording the preview video for the Eurovision entry.

Almost feel like they listened to what I said, 50/50 language and rock elements! This could actually be really good!
