Monaco, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg - NO, NO, NO and NO. They will bring as much "quality" as San Marino. xbeee

But Luxembourg has won 5 times and has has many quality singers like Nanna Mouskouri and Vikky Leandros and Baccara.

If Luxembourg returns we can always throw Poland or Portugal out ...... their calypso music suks ;)

Their last victory was more than 30 years ago

:pl: and :pt: ESC entries are all crap, indeed. I also think that "The way you are" proves how amazing Danish music scene is. xhmmm

Maybe we should throw Denmark out?

Currently, all I want is the comeback of Croatia, Bulgaria & Bosnia, and hopefully Slovakia if a Czech-like miracle happens. Ukraine must stay out for the moment.
It's not that I don't care about Monaco & Andorra, but it's very unlikely to see them return next year due to economic reasons.
Luxembourg does not even know whether they should return or not, so I don't have high hopes, and Liechstenstein's debut seems to take forever, so...
Turkey's potential comeback leaves me cold though.
As for Kazakhstan, they've been tacitly rejected so, I don't know if we'll see them either, even if I wouldn't mind them debuting.
I expect Australia to stay because of EBU's magic, although I don't like this idea.

Besides, I hope Cyprus, San Marino, Poland and Czech Republic will stay no matter what happens this year.

Hmmm, let's see on a inactive countries in 2015.
:ad: Andorra - Probably they still have a serious financial problems + people are not really interested in taking part.
:ba: Bosnia & Herzegovina - Maybe Turkey's return will bring them back.
:bg: Bulgaria - Difficult case, 50/50.
:hr: Croatia - The same as above, but I don't see a reason, why Hrvatska would return.
:lu: Luxembourg - Luxembourg...
:mc: Monaco - As far as I know, it's not easy to participate for Monegasque broadcaster (it's a case of money).
:ma: Morocco - Each year we hear some gossips about their possible return, but that's all.
:sk: Slovakia - Similar case as Andorra.
:tr: Turkey - They confirmed participation in 2016 already.
+ Surely someone from this year will withdraw and I don't see any country to make a debut in 2016. IMO it will be achievement, if we'll have a 40-42 participants in 2016 :p

Hmmm, I think we're OK for now with these 40 countries.
I really dont want to see :tr: back because most of their entries are not my cup of my tea and also they're a homophobic country so...
I would really love to see :li: taking part because I love all these small countries in :)

Really interesting about about some countries being against homosexuality and such and thanks to Marcos link, I decdied to look on what year same-sex sexual activity became legal in a number of countries. I took in random order Turkey, Sweden, Bulgaria, Russia, Croatia, Spain, Belgium, United Kingdom, Austria, Malta. Took these countries to show very different sides of europe as possible.

Here is the full list in the order of most recent to the ones that were first to make it legal. Highlighted some interesting ones on the matter of the discussion...

Russia Decriminalised in 1917; Re-criminalised in 1933; Legal since 1993
UK 1967 (England and Wales) 1981 (Scotland) 1982 (Northern Ireland)
Spain Legal since 1979
Croatia Legal since 1977
Malta Legal since 1973
Austria Legal since 1971
Bulgaria Legal since 1968
Sweden Legal since 1944
Turkey Legal since 1858
Belgium Legal since 1795

Of course it is never simple in any country to be homosexual, not even here in Sweden, but saying that two countries that were before quite many of the western countries when it becomes to this, one, Turkey it is, that is even over 100 years before United Kingdom and Spain must show that the "hate" on homosexuals is not really as the western media tries to show.

So to end this discussion, back to the topic. I would love to have up to 47 countries next year, I would definitely love seeing Croatia, Bulgaria, Turkey and many smaller countries to come back! The only thing that could unite Europe is Eurovision to be honest, let's stop hating each other and bring out the love and let's hope for a grand Eurovision in may 2016! :D
