Just rewatched all I missed from slopestyles final. Btw here in german free-tv, they aired the whole competition later, starting at 4am

Now I think that the decision is actually alright. Either McMorris or Gerard would've made a worthy winner tonight, it was just the US boy who did the run in his completely own style. And I remember what amazed me, when I saw his X games performance. His rails are always on fire. Best jumps I've seen in these sections. So the judges were not scandalously wrong, maybe not generous enough sometimes. I even wonder why Max Parrot came close, even tho his medal is also quite okay. Just swap the silver and bronze medalist and this is fine

Whuuut? The German Nordic combiners did surprisingly well in the ski jumping training
I'm a little disappointed by Patrick Beckert but he still has the 10000m going on, I suppose.
It's probably "only" going to to be one medal for us today - Felix Loch (Luge).

Looking at the medal table it feels like the Norwegians have medal candidates in almost every competition these days (putting luge, skeleton and bobsleigh aside). The Germans really have to up their game especially in the "newer/younger sports" if they ever want to have a shot at that top spot in the medal table ... I mean who knows whats gonna happen but we are already trailing them by 6 medals in total ... after two days lol ... and I wouldn't be surprised if they would win another two in men's biathlon today.
We'll eventually need some podium sweeps (maybe in women's luge and men's bobsleigh) if we want to make it to the top (it's only a slim chance anyway because there are like 100000 cross country skiing competitions haha)

We cant outnumber Norway in total medals. If we wanna win the medal table our gold contenders should all get the gold and now and then we should achieve little surprises like Wellinger did yesterday :)

Congrats btw to Krcmar and Windisch. Krcmar winning a medal is much more sensational to me than Peiffer winning gold. Great that the czechs winning medals without Koukalova, just have to say that once again xclap

Woke up to 2 more silver medals for :ca: - Justine Dufour-Lapointe in moguls and Ted-Jan Bloemen in speed skating! Surely we'll bag our first gold very soon

Agreed. Don't know who they should send for the men's free program, but they should keep Tessa and Scott for the free dance and send Gabby Daleman for the women's free

I'm floored that we're actually going with Adam Rippon for the men's free. He has my favorite free program of the Americans (made me so emotion a couple times), but it's amazing that US Figure Skating actually went with such a risk.
