Before reading other comments or hints, my guess for picture #1 is that it's the country of origin: Japan aka "the country of rising sun"!

Exactly - all this attention in the thread deserves a decent entry though! It's annoying as I was going to send a different song from the same "genre" but the video has vanished from YouTube and all other videos with the full song have the audio muted due to copyright

Yeah, I think you could probably call it J-pop, although it was used for a very specific purpose so you probably wouldn't have found it on the radio...
It was the first Japanese song that I heard that made me want to learn more about the country and the many genres of music they have out there. And I've never looked back
It's okay Mozz, I'll keep it for NSC if I can ever find a working like. Someone had the official music video on YouTube, and the artist themself even commented that it was awesome to find it since it is pretty rare, but since then it's completely disappeared
