Eva's beauty... :D she looks manly, except for some photos.
In your avatar I could have mistaken her for a transvestile because of her heavy masculine chin (sorry, Eva! blame your parents lol) You better change it for a nicer photo ;)
But no critics about the song (not her singing), the tune is catchy.

Okeyyy... Someone doesn't like Eva Rivas :D Next year I hope they will let you choose a representative.

lol, how well our Eva Reshetnikova_Tsaturyan drives you all crazy.
Since when there is matriarchy among Armenians? As far as I know you use only father's surnames :?

You see there is always a weak point to step on, so better not to start an argument and bash the entry which has nothing to do with this thread ;) Peace!

It depends. Its up to the woman to choose whether she keeps her own name or takes her husbands'. And from situation to situation children can choose either their fathers or their mothers name. But naturally they receive the name of the father first. Im not sure if that has something to do with patriarchy.
Interesting subject though

I don't even NEED this song to grow on me...it's great! It's my number 3 and I believe will probably take 3rd place. (My 1st, Georgia, and 2nd, Finland, will definitely not...but I love them!) I personally don't like Germany all that much, but I think it might do well, and Azerbaijan, which I REALLY don't care for). :D

And for those who still believe Eva was not singing live, here's some footage of the sound check (Eva's bit starts at 2:07)

During the sound check she was definitely live, but there no doubt she mimed the performance later for the party. I just saw the video above and its 100% lipsyncing. If you want to hear her sing live watch the performance at the Tashir awards.

There's a doubt in my mind though, as it did sound live to me in the audience. ;) Just some of the consonants at the end of some lyrics sounded more pronounced than they did in the studio version, but I agree that the difference is minimal, so i could be wrong. Still, don't know what the use of a sound check would be if she was going to lipsynch the song anyway.

Tristran thank you for the video. :p
btw in that video interview I've posted Eva improved her English )

You're welcome! There was no interpreter needed during her interview, so I don't think her English is that bad compared to that of some of the other candidates. ;)

That's ok it's your nb 1, but many in Norway don't like this song.

^It's not really the jury that will change the votes, its just that a poll on NRK hardly represents what the televote from Norway will actually look like.

I compared her English with her own, two months ago she didn't speak so confident in it.I'm glad she's improving it :p

StellaStai thanks a lot :D
I hope public vote & jury will be favourable to our song, too

simmekeI don't know how about polls where Armenia is constant at top , but I feel we gonna get points from the countries that didn't give us points at all or gave 1-2 points

and besides, a lot is depends on the show .if Armenia will stage it as they claimed before, so we have pretty good chances :p

Re: ???????? - Armenia 2010 - Eva Rivas - Apricot Stone

guys, do you believe in astrology predictions  anyway, look what I came across. just for fun :D

Eurovision 2010

The Eurovision final 2010 will be held in Oslo, Norway, at 21.00 CST on 20. May. The chart is cast for my own location for the simple reasons that the arena is only a few miles up the road from where I live. I have no strong convictions this year as in 2009, but I do think that the present chart has a liking for Armenia and Sweden. Whether that is enough to secure a victory, well I'm not sure...

The Moon in the first degree of Capricorn is in square to Uranus. The first thing is that the date for this years final was moved from 22. May to 29. May because the first day collided with the final for the Champions League. Two giant media events could not be held at the same time and compete for the attention of television viewers. It is an interesting act of fate and 'a change of plans' if it in any way reveals who will win the Eurovision 2010 in Oslo. As astrologers we believe that the chart 'must fit'.

I believe that the winning song is signified by Saturn, who is culminating, in sextile to the ascendant and casts his antiscia close to the MC. Saturn rules the MC by exaltation and may indicate a 'suprize' or something extraordinary. Saturn is in the degree of Venus' fall - so I like the idea of something 'falling to Earth' or something ribbed to its bare essentials. The Swedish entry sung by Anna Bergendahl "This is My Life", has these qualities, in addition to Sweden being signified by Aquarius and ruled by Saturn. The Armenian entry 'Apricot Stone' performed by Eva Rives also has the Saturnian quality of the simple stone from a fallen fruit. R.E.Bills has Armenia listed under Gemini, but I know for sure I was tracking an earthquake sequence in the 90's that caused me to put Armenia under Libra in my personal notes.

I think that Mars, L5, in conjuction with Alphard shows the simpleness of someone or something that stands alone, and I also consider Venus, L10, so close the Dragon's Tail to indicate the bear remains of a fruit, incarnation or state of existance.

The odds have changed since the chart first was posted on my own site on 18. March, but the current prices quoted by Unibet are: Israel 3:1, Azerbaijan 3,5:1, Germany 4:1, Armenia 12:1, Denmark 12:1, Croatia 12:1, Norway 12:1 and Sweden 15:1. If anyone else has a different view that would be interesting. The German entry 'Satellite' is every so catchy. Mars, L1, trine the cusp of the 5th in Aries? The competition seems rather open.

Re: ???????? - Armenia 2010 - Eva Rivas - Apricot Stone

Of all the contenders for the victory in "Eurovision-2010" the Russian producer Yana Rudkovskaya selects the representative of Armenia - Eva Rivas

Acccording to energyfm.ru, the producer at least has three reasons.

"Firstly, she is beautiful! She is a model, who can still sing beautifully in addition!

Secondly, it is the right song, in the fashionable folk style. Eva very properly represents herself. If there will be a good show, it just gets in the top.

And, thirdly, I think that it's high time for Armenia to win , ever since from Sirusho' time.

Armenia always reminds about itself and always is among the ten best in the Eurovision. And this is a sign that people are willing to make this country won, well, or at least, to be in the top three. "

I wrote in the zodiac topic, that i was interested in astrology before, and began studying it, but after i realized how its functioning and after i saw many scientific tests of astrology which all turned out negative, i realized its just a huge pile of *beep*

"It may happen, or not" - the exact science of astrology :D

Though i wouldn't mind seeing Armenia winning :D

I'm not so much believe in astrology, but who knows maybe it works this time

btw, there is another chart drawn for Milan , so the same astrologer
says that Milan Stankovic should stand a fair chance for the final. :D
