Re: ?????? - Serbia 2010 - Milan Stankovi? - Ovo je Balkan
Kill me, but I like the song. This year I'm totally satisfied with entry. And I would be satisfied if Emina won too (I only didn't like Oliver's song).
I understand ppl who hate it and say it's the worst song in history... but for me it's not. I also like trumpets and Bregovic...so...this song is great for me, and I guess in Serbia ppl voted for this because we r used to this music.
Milan is also a bigger star then Emina in here. Especially when someone comes from 'Grand production' everybody knows him and I'm not surprised he won.
My opinion: Milan has better voice then Emina (I said it zillion times in this forum), but Emina would look better on stage and would attract much more votes then Milan in Oslo.
Now, I don't expect Serbia to have a 'good result' this year, it would be great if we qualify for final. But if not...that's all right too. I know ppl like this song (and not jury)...and ppl chose what they liked.
About Milan's look (I see it's most argued issue regarding Serbian entry), I don't care if he's gay or str8 or transgender or hermafrodite or lesbian or male lady Gaga or male Soraya or whatever... I don't think it matters, and obviously more then 50.000 ppl who voted him, don't care.
What surprises me is this forum (and esctoday.com), how homophobic some ppl r (actually comments, not ppl).
I don't mind his haircut either.
It simply doesn't matter if singer is fat or slim or beautiful or ugly or old or blind or gipsy or transsexual or bold etc...
I think song shouldn't be re-worked at all. If they re-work smth, it would be enough if they make it little bit more 'explosive' and speed it up a bit.
Only thing I didn't like - dancers (folklore costumes r ordinary and not original - we already saw it many times, they can improve outfits and performance).
That's all.
