this year will be the 10th anniversary since blue were formed, and lets hope 'i can' can be as successful for them as 'patience' was for take that when they got back together.. blue have had several successful songs in the past, as a quick check on you tube will reveal, so my fingers are crossed that they can reprise their past success in dusseldorf..

Well, let's not exaggerate though. Blue can't be compared with Take That on any occasion.

I think also it's a good choice, but I wanna wait for the song to say more. When can we expect the song presentation, does anybody know for sure?

My guess is that they'll turn up on Graham Norton's Friday night chat show sometime in the next few weeks. However, that's coming from someone who watched all of last's night BBC output waiting for an advert that never came. I know nothing.

I think it´s a good choice but let´s wait for the song. I remember the German band "No Angels" also wellknown years ago and with an awefull song at the end. I hope so much, that the song is great. Good luck UK!!!! Can´t wait for the song.

Id imagine they will be on his show sometime - he's always done something about Eurovision even when he didnt commentate.

The Daily Mirror seem to be right behind the campaign - "This year we dont have to put-up with the rubbish 'search-for-a-Eurovision star type TV show' and the utter tripe we end up sending in the end." Then they basically said that we're gonna have a real chance in winning and how much we want to win it! :D

Also I was right, Martin! A BBC source told the Daily Mirror that "we've got the Olympics in 2012. It'd be perfect if we had Eurovision too!" And so, the BBC have said they're going to be pulling out all the stops! :D :D

And Blue themselves have said that it is an honour to represent their country and they're gunna try so hard to win - despite the risk of nil points!

I must say, 'Breathe Easy' is one of my all time favorite ballads! I liked some of Simon Webbe's (Blue member) solo efforts aswell and Duncan is super hot  This could turn out good!

I am very sure that Blue isn't the winning band for the UK...but I must admit that give a small applause to the try to bring at least something else than total garbage to the table. UK will maybe do pretty okey, but will not win, that is almost certain for me.

It seems that besides Blue, the national broadcaster of the United Kingdom had negotiations with group Hurts. The band twitted their reaction to BBC's decision to choose Blue as their 2011 Eurovision representatives writing the following twit:

In light of the recent dark & depressing Eurovision news from the UK, we have decided to submit our song to the good, good people of Russia.

Will we see them with Russia though? The national broadcaster, Channel One, is already discussing with various famous artists from the country and abroad. If Hurts go through and enter for Russia then a big and exciting music war will be launched!

To remind you that Hurts recently stated in an interview that they would love to pen or perform for the United Kingdom. Many back then saw it as a promotional act but it seems that there is some truth in it.
