I loved the snippets from the rehearsals, i did not feel it that much today. There is So much going on its hard to follow and vocally olly was not that convincing imo 🫤

When Olly had his breath he was able to sing the song brilliantly. The problem is that he spends most of the song either out of breath or with poor breath control. Early into the song when he knelt down it almost sounded like he winded himself. And towards the end, he tried to overcome being out of breath by overcompensating on the vocals and that just made him sound even more out of breath.

Maybe it was nerves getting the better of him, I hope it was and he calms down because it would be a shame to fumble things so badly over something as fundamental as breath control.

OLLY HAD MIC ISSUES PEOPLE!

His mic pack fell off so his in ears obviously weren’t working hence the hesitation which lead to weaker vocals

Not impressed tbh. The staging is OK if it were 2016... vocally he had a bad night. I expected a lot more for an already professional pop star.

I like the song but this was one of my low-lights today actually. If he doesn't improve vocally, a lot, I'm not sure who's supposed to vote for it honestly.

I'm gonna poke my head above the trenches here and say there is a whole lot of reaching and herd mentality going on from people here and elsewhere. The staging is absolutely fantastic, easily the best we've done and I dare say one of the best ever. So innovative and clever - i'll also add, as the entire 3 minutes go, i don't think it's as overtly sexual as the 30 second clip made it look. In fact it didn't look anymore or any less than other performances with 'provocative' dance moves this year or in the past. It's just extremely gay and not heterosexual (or just women).

The vocals were far from the best tonight but I don't think they were bad either and I don't think the song calls for complete perfection. Kaarija was weak last year also but it didn't matter. He did great to carry on given his mic pack fell out. Whatever happens Saturday we should be proud, but the pile on i'm seeing I think is nitpicky and unjust.

The staging looks sooo professional, especially the bit at the end.

Upgrading from :2: to :6: (for now)

Strong camera work for sure. It made me feel dizzy, pun intended. It was overall way less over the top than I had feared so yea, I can live with that performance. His vocals on the other hand ... phew, that was not good.

The staging is very impressive. I've written it in another thread as well, that I don't see anything "controversial" or whatever has been said in this thread the past few days. I loved the dancers' funny facial expessions. The song is a 7, but the performance a 12.
Vocals weren't very good, but I didn't want to close my ears either. He can, and I hope he will, do better.

When they released photos from rehearsal I was like, ok, this may be good. But after today's perofrmance this is my bottom 3.

There is nothing that I like in this performance. If I want to see soft porn, I choose something different than Eurovision Song Contest. Vocals are very weak. Staging is cheesy. 0 points.

My favorite from Semi Final 1. I really appreciate the staging.

Vocals weren't great, and juries won't reward them, or the staging. I can see this ending up in the mid-teens, like the UK usually does when they do "slightly better".

As for my impression: lousy forgettable song, sort of fun staging, especially because many were probably upset by it. Obviously, it's meant to appeal to a certain person and i'm not that one. But it was well performed and the last bit with the perspective effects really looked kind of cool. I can't wait to see the reactions!

Honestly, I haven’t seen him singing well in any of the performances (including pre-parties, and so on) You can blame the “mic issues” if you want to, but I’d be really surprised if he’s not bottom on Saturday night.

I think we will have to gently move your old woman with a zimmer frame out of the way for that position *kiss

Relax, I am fully aware Spain won’t do any better, but at least I admit it and I don’t give ovations to a performance that definitely hasn’t been up to par. A bit of realism, please.

I kind of dislike the fact it's a very well composed song, and he sing it quite good as well, but goes Ru Paul's Drag race with the staging. Even some guys would think this is way too much. Guy texted me from the show "this can never get more than 5 points from behind the Iron Curtain". It's a trend I guess in the tiktok era, but it made me sad watching this.

Maybe we should just tell Turkey to match the UK's money bag and let the UK try to qualify with this.

Like the fact that the majority of people are coming round to this performance, but to those that are still convulsing from the utter sacrilegious images that have burned into your retinas from watching gay men dancing provocatively, may I ask...

How did you feel when Chanel basically showed us her womb in the opening act tonight? Equally as repulsed? xthink
