Congrats Sweden, for choosing a song which you love now and will be completely fed up with in six months.

Wow, what an absolutely thrilling result. I can just sense how excited we all are to hear this life changing masterpiece from Frans go to eurovision. Sweden enjoy the big fat 0 from me and your bottom 5 place in May. xheart

Most boring voting ever

Between the too fast jury that looked recorded and the hearts that completly messed up by centralising the televoting it was absolutey not entertaining.

The right song won. It triggers all the right spots - catchy song, nice melody, genuine singer, good stage show (or lack thereof). A true reaction against the overproduced pop and artists trying too hard. The juries also didn't shoot it down, even though it lost by a point. Anna Bergendahl vol. 2? Anna had no song, no singing, no performance - Frans has them. The best song didn't win, but one of the best did. Also, Sweden won't win this year, but can certainly do well.

A shitty Melodifestivalen with a shitty winner so I guess it works out. Not that there was much to choose from. I used to enjoy the show but I guess Swedish music an I just no longer connect. Oh well....

Btw Frans slayed the public

23 points between him and Wiktoria
17 points between Wiktoria and the last place

it just looked kinda even because of the App^^

Never seen a voting like this in Melodifestivalen. Also expected a bigger lead from Frans.

It's because of the app voting, I think - it allows you to score every song out of 5 and then convert that to votes, essentially. Even if some songs average, say, 3 votes, while others get 4.5 average, you're still giving a decent chunk of votes to every song, which smooths out the vote. If anything, I think Frans must have completely romped the non-app vote - note that there was only a 15-ish point difference between last and second place, but something like a 20 point difference between second and first. Comparatively, that's pretty large.

I hate this. I hate everything about this. It feels like something that gets popular in my shitty-music-oriented country. Worst Swedish entry since 2011, nay, worst Swedish entry ever. I hated it from the second I heard the snippet, and I kept hating it until then. Sweden had better give Denmark a big kiss on the arse 1) for inspiring the direction they appear to want to take at ESC from now on and 2) for saving them from my #43. Worse than Ireland, worse than Cyprus, worse than Running Sca- okay let's not get ahead of ourselves on that last one. Easy 0 for this contemptuous song.

Such a shame... Sweden had a chance to be in my top 5 for the first time in 17 years with Robin/Wiktoria/Oscar... and you chose this.

Finns should not even be offered to have a say in this respect, as they choose the worst option among masterpieces, almost every year. I still have not forgiven your country for the biggest mistake ever made 2 weeks ago. This is the 2nd instance this year that the televoters opt for the worst preferable song. (along with UMK)
