If it’s still an internal selection I’m not sure what else they can do that’s different. Already tried famous artists, unknown ones, artists known to the BBC and talent contest alumni… unless the approach is tweaking the one they had with Olly… a known artist, but writing a song for the contest rather than moulding new content into a Eurovision song?

Agree, I've heard and seen contestants like her soo many times already in different talent shows, there's absolutely nothing interesting or special about her.
Tell that to the juries who lap this stuff up year in year out!
