Congratulations SuRie, funny her and Liam were the two least favourites (20/1) :D Usually one of the least favourites does win. It is not my favourite but it is a decent song and I'm by no means disappointed at this selection (would have been if we'd gone with the fave... )

As for Asanda, well I knew she wouldn't win - like I said, the fan craze never wins the British selection ;) It was a dreadful song and I think people were just jumping on the bandwagon (hence how we saw the crowd switching over to SuRie during the show).

All-in-all SuRie is probably my least favourite British entry since Andy Abraham, but it's not terrible. I give it 7 points, though I expect us to be bottom 10.

I'm past caring now we have took a step backwards tonight, we are never winning eurovision again.

Couldn't agree more that this is a massive step backwards. Last year we sent something slightly different with brilliant staging and this year we could have sent something different again.

Instead we send the most 'Love love peace peace' entry we could find and when we inevitably come bottom 5, the contest's reputation here will be even further damaged :?

At least I have 0 expectations of us doing well this year and won't feel so disappointed when we finish bottom.

The best performance probably won but certainly not the best song. A pity that Asanda couldn't deliver. Fully expect another bottom 5 finish for us unless a revamp can salvage what we have.

I should say despite meh songs and total overdoze of Sweden in British selection, this show was surely one of the best ones I have ever seen as ESC selection. It was fast enough, had good jokes and comments from people who know at least couple of participants from the past and not just the winner itself. Good show thank you UK

as for the winner, I like it. Catchy and sincere. 6 points :D Just because three girls were WAAAAY better :D

What do you mean by performance? That hand waving thing that made me think of a member of a cheap airlines cabin crew???

The second I saw that Performance form Surie I knew she'd win hands down, the staging, performance and the cheer after. It was clear, which it makes all the more frustrating as while I did like her performance and enjoy the song I think we just made a huge disaster of a mistake, but it's clear as day this is the song the BBC wanted. We've lost our chance with Asanda to really stand out, be bold and exciting but instead we've regressed back. I really hope they revamp this song to improve it because we will be enjoying our slot as Germany this. It's so frustrating to be British and know the league of our music and then have something, while totally nice as is, is very basic and beige. In a line of 26 songs we will crash and burn, I hope we don't draw first half otherwise they'll pile us to slot 2 or something. 6pts and coming to terms with the certainty of bottom 3 - AGAIN.

Before the show I thought Crazy would be the safest choice, but after watching the live performances I am not surprised about the winner, SuRie was the best on stage with an avarage song that could still grow up (it needs a serious revamp) I never saw Asanda as a winner, the song was a mess, and her performance proved she was not ready for a big stage yet. I read some criticism about how cliche Storm is as if Legends were the mother of creativity. Please, chill out.

I think UK made the best choice tonight, among middle of the road songs this one has potential for a one-night competition. We'll see.
