I dont think Ukraine will withdraw anyway, A Solution will be found.

But if that would be the Case, the EBU could never let it stay as it with 19 & 17 Countries in the Semis.

They would need to do another draw, which I highly doubt

But as you said, I also don't believe that :ua: will withdraw ;)

Well Romania got unceremoniously evicted in 2016. xshrug So I guess anything can happen. It would be sad to see this happen though. :(

this is not the same as romania. a channel shutting down is something planned months in advance, it is not ebu-imposed like the romanian debt needing to be paid. if they held a NF, their plan is to participate in eurovision. i am sure a plan of action already exists.

ps. That "half the budget crap" is just another attempt by Alasania to milk the national budget. They will be funded in the 2nd half of the year just like last year. He also "forgot" to include ESC 2017 profit which was added to their 2018 budget.

Just like Macedonia, Ukraine will remain in the contest, but I certainly wouldn't complain if a situation like Romania 2016 happened and we would be spared of listening to this trashy song in ESC

do you ever look in a mirror and hate yourself for being a man

I demand that this become an infomercial for...I don't know, something? Picture this:

"Hi, I'm Rula Lenska.* Do you ever look in a mirror and hate yourself for being a man? Well, you SHOULD."

Screen goes blank and silent, and the audience is left for a moment to ponder what they've just witnessed.

*I will also accept Cher or Jane Fonda

I was totally sold to Tayanna's song and performance by Vidbir's time and I couldn't see anything in this. I thought it was bland and generic. I have heard it a few times after that, some of them without expecting it or recognizing its origin and I have absolutely changed my mind. Tayanna's song will always be up there as Ukraine's number One of 2018 and my almost certain favourite overall, but this is following close behind. It's a great pop theme, very catchy and uplifting that will certainly shine among this year's poor selection. Melovin's performance is one point short of equaling Tayanna´s, which is quite high up there anyway. Don't really have a favourite yet, but Ukraine will most surely be among my top 5 this year.

I only question its instant appeal, as Tayanna was love at first listen even though it was not in English and this needed more than a few of them. Strange, but maybe it was just me and my frame of mind at the time.

Hope you'll stay with us. Losing Ukraine (one of the few countries that takes this contest seriously) would be such a shame and a loss.
