INFORMATION FOR NEW PLAYERS
After you join the Waiting List, I highly recommend looking for a place for your country. The unoccupied areas implicitly belong to both withdrawn nations, and current WLers. With few exceptions, you can claim any territory you wish. Take into account the geography and descriptions of the geocultural regions above, to find what is most fitting to the concept of your nation. PM me and I'll reserve the area for you. I'm also more than happy to answer any of your questions and give advice.
There is no hard limit on how big or small a nation can be, as long as you're not trying hardcore imperialism.
NSC is farily liberal when it comes to worldbuilding. Current nations range from medieval fantasy, to realistic, to futuristic.

Re: The NSC Map - NEW MAP & INFO

First post has been updated.

Leonesia & St.Lotus, Denmark of Peace, Ujedinjeni Gvozd and Aspirinia are now on the map. As I mentioned all the way back when I first suggested map redesign, nations that withdraw will remain on the map. New nations will either be added in the gray areas or they will take chunk of already placed nation's territory. If we run out of places for new nations I plan on adding another small land mass in the south. Although I'm still not sure if keeping old nations is a good idea begin with.

Anyway, I hope you like it. =) If you have any suggestions or requests please let me know.

Definitely a good idea, cause it keeps some logical sense in Natia's history, unlike replacing old countries with new. But i have a suggestion to slowly cede withdrawn countries' territories to their neighbors. Countries are born and die in real life too. We can claim that these countries withdrew due to some economic and political crisises that would eventually lead to downfalls of the whole countries. This way the map won't be clustered with long-forgotten nations and we'll keep logical clarity :D

btw. my capital is Kamień

btw2. it's all awesome, ofc

Yeah that is actually a great suggestion. It's probably going to be done that way from now on.
I'll fix your capital name soon, I was also contacted on MSN by someone who had a request. I'll do them all either later today or tomorrow as it takes a lot of time for those files to open and save. ;_;

I updated map again with requests made by Orian and Vaso. Name of Rumian capital was changed and Denmark of Peace was moved to Highwind. I also changed some random location titles, for example Twilight Bay became Dusk Bay.

Map updated. All new countries that debuted in last two editions or so are on and changes that were requested by certain members were made. HOWEVER; only nations added in this update will be allowed any major changes from now till the next update. After that no nation will be allowed any major changes, but I will contact all debuting nations regarding where they want to be on the map. This is done for the reasons.

Hope you like it! =)

Are defunct nations supposed to remain on the map, 'cause I can see Sunoria, Berceniland, Dalisska, Bacchus, Kingdom of Eras, Bokia, Adamsburg, Arjastan & Blondania (Greenfroze is also joining them) among others. :confused:

Nations that withdrew stay on the map, yes. Brughentwerp was removed because Zumkotzen wanted their territory.

What if I want a piece of land currently occupied by a defunct nation? Or only new ones can ask for that?

Yes you can have it, but only if you share borders with that nation.
