Superior?? Estonia 2009 didn't even won ESC. Sweden 2012 has the second best points total ever and the most 12pointers ever!! The truth is that thes entries are the most OVERRATED ESC songs ever. If Estonia 2009 is that great why wasn't it even in top 5 in the real ESC? Sorry but Euphoria is superior all other entries except maybe Fairtytale.

Sorry, but ESC results doesn't really affect on my personal taste.

(But I agree that :se: 2012 should have won xcry1, or :fi: 1983 and :ee: 2009 xbow)

And Luxembourg won ESC in 1965 and is still a favorite. How could it make a record of points in 1965 with so few countries participating? Your statement is nonsense!

So you mean 38 voters makes Estonia 2009 more superior than Euphoria even though Euphoria won both televoting(with millions voters) and jury voting in 2012. Yor comments are nonsense. BTW I love Luxembourg 1965. I voted for it.

The number of votes a song receives has nothing to do with the superiority of the actual song. Nor does it have anything to do with the quality of the song. Those numbers mean nothing in a contest like this. Those numbers are largely thanks to a general mainstream audience with a general appreciation (or no appreciation at all) of the contest. Everybody here (more or less) is a diehard fan of the contest. Results are bound to be different here than in the outside world, where people go for quantity instead of quality. We go for quality here.

Exactly, and if the most successful song was about to win BT, then why we should play this game? We should just rate the songs according to their success and that's it! xshrug

Please don't tell me you think this is more important than ESC itself. Here's 38 people voting. In the real ESC it's millions voters...Who is superior do you think?

Estonia is hardly superior than Euphoria. I mean ESC is the most important not a random game on this forum.

How can you not get it? This contest has nothing to do with how well an entry did in the ESC. Nothing. This is a contest where we vote for our favorite songs. That is all. Maybe you base your taste on how many people voted for the entry in the ESC, but don't expect other people to.

In ESC, people vote for what they like in that specific night. If you ask most of them a year later, they don't even remember the song they voted for! Here we vote for songs that we heard so many times so we had the chance to evaluate them in a more fair way. What the crowd votes for in a night does not have to do with this.

You need to look up superior in a dictionary. It means different things.. Superior in this context means that I (and others) think Estonia 2009 surpasses Sweden 2012 in quality and excellence. Obviously Sweden 2012 did better in ESC, no one is saying anything different.

And boy are you a sore loser, or what?!

Yes and this in not about the best songs. Those three entries are among the most overrated ESC songs ever among the fans, especially Estonia. Fairytale was the hot fave to ESC 2009 among fans and bettings. Not Estonia. Then it became too popular after the landslide victory. Actually I remember Greece was the 2nd fave in 2009. But after ESC 2009, woooooooooooow Estonia is sooooooooooooooo amaziiiiiiiiiiiiiingg!!!!!!! Fairytale is OVERRATED and that great as the results wantit to be.. The same with Euphoria. Many haters in here dislike it because is too popular. Nothing else.

That's not a good sign of quality. The songs that a really great should catch the attention already with the first listenings.. BTW, sweden 2012 was a hit around Europe. How did Estonia 2009 around Europe? Italy 1990...?

I think that this game is not named "THE MOST POPULAR EUROVISION SONG". xthink

Everybody should vote for their favourite song, not for the most popular song.

Of course it's about the best songs. People vote for what songs they think are the best and Estonia 2009 is the best song according to a lot of people. I wouldn't say it's the best song of all time, but definitely the best of 2009 and definitely one of the best songs of the 2000s.

A song like Estonia 2009 would never win ESC because it's not a mainstream song.

If songs are superior and so much better because placed high in this game then we maybe should tell EBU to not host ESC anymore. This "amazing" game will be the new ESC. At least you people act like that.
