I miss my dear Ace Wilder...xcry
okay, at least i have Margaret to look forward to :D

and i noticed that one of the songwriters of Sigrid Bernson's song has a very slovenian first and last name (Andrej Kamnik) so he's probably slovenian... yay)

I'm looking forward to MF 2018. Mariette, Margaret and Ida Redig seems interesting.

remember this year when we all thought loreen was winning and she wasn't even in the final and we cancelled sweden forever? i am not so sure that mariette is the winner, specially with the stupid voting app. i expect another notionally good looking bland male to take it unless something else really transcends the nature of annoying fangirls.

Your thoughts might actually happen with Mariette. Looking in the past, Mariette hasn't done very well with the viewers in the final, so I can totally see it again now. Last year, her semifinal was actually one of the weakest in a loooong time and she won it narrowly over Lisa Ajax and Benjamin Ingrosso. If her song is on the same level as "A Million Years", I doubt she will even go to the final against the crazy dansband Rolandz and our newest musical star Emmi Christensson, who could become a "sweatheart" in the last semifinal with a good song.

Am I the only one who is hyped by Felicia Olsson?

Her song "Make Me Nr. 1" is one of the most underrated Melfest entries ever, in my opinion.

Re: SWEDEN 2018

So happy to see Mimi Werner and Felicia Olsson back! Both had great entries in their debut years, so I'm excited to see what they offer this year :D

Some of the new names for this year seem quite exciting to me also, look forward to hearing the songs xcheer

Amazing song, still on my playlist! Hope she returns with an even greater song this year.

Re: SWEDEN 2018

Alcazar's song was written by Linnea and Joy Deb and according to Andreas they had big chances for winning this year. Christer & Co. on the other hand have other plans apparently...

They can submit it on 1in360... It's not too late!
And San Marino were more into disco than Sweden lately :D It'd make sense.

If this is true (I am sorry, but I need like a link from a well established source to believe it), then I can see why Christer got a bit scared of letting them in.
Don't get me wrong, I have always enjoyed Alcazar, and one part of me would actually be really happy to see them in this years list (at least it wouldn't feel so empty as it looks now). I wouldn't even have something against sending them to ESC with the right song, they wouldn't disappoint us, would bring hell of a show in Lisbon and it feels a bit like it would be finally their turn to go to ESC.

But at the same time, Christer Björkman & Co. has one big plan...to surpass Ireland in number of wins (or at least tie it up with a 7th win) before Christer steps down as "the general" after 2021. To make this happen, it would need that we continue our streak of "winning every 3rd year", which would mean that after 2012 and 2015, then 2018 and 2021 is the years we must win to make it happen. Me personally, I could wait a long time for the next win (a part of me wants us to fail once or twice to force some changes into our NFs stagnation musically) but SVT wants to keep the streak going for sure.
Probably, there are a song within these 28 that is winner material already, and say what you will about Alcazar and how professional they are...there are three middle-aged "has-beens" singing a disco song in the eyes of europeans who haven't heard about them before. I just can't see them win Eurovision, and if it is what SVT wants, then they has to say no. But I can though see that if we were to win in Lisbon (and no I don't want to unless we have a song I really really like), I could totally see Alcazar as the perfect act on home-soil, when we got nothing to loose.

Yes, sorry. Here's the link https://www.instagram.com/p/BcDJOl3Bs4V/?taken-by=theandreaslundstedt Check the comments. Andreas himself said this.

That would be just perfect

It looks like it's the same Andrej Kamnik that's behind the remix of Lady Gaga's million reason and hearts and color lighthouse Andrelli remix. Sounds promising :)

Re: SWEDEN 2018

Hoping Benjamin Ingrosso pulls an Oscar Zia – going from my almost-least-favourite act in one year to my favourite in his next appearance. It's not likely, but hey, there's a precedent!
