It was realllly weird seeing him do the choreography without the projections. Amplified the DIY feel of the vocals.

I don't see anything weird in it, guy just knows how to dance and perform, I like it. He seems so natural and not forced in it what he is doing (unlike Robin last year), he enjoys it trully. But I see a lot of people are commenting him in negative way. Since when it is wrong for man to dance?! I find it sexy, but that is just me.

He would be a perfect winner, because he has Careerpotential and could become an international Superstar like Mans Zelmerlöw, Helena and Lena who also managed to stay relevant years after the Victory. If we dont want that Eurovision becomes a One-Night-Event we must all together vote for Sweden this year.

I would vote for him, for sure, but I don't think he will win, because both time in this decade when Sweden won, they did great at odds and polls, and now they are midd-table. He is in the same record label as Zara Larsson ( TEN Music), and she is international star, I think they should direct his carreer in that way also, because he is born for scene, multi-talented artist. But I don't worry about him, I feel that he will either way be way more successful and popular than this year's winner ( because most of ESC winners or not popular outside of ESC bubble at all). ;)

One of the rare completely positive and honest reactions to Sweden this year. Of course, from American guy, and all people from USA like him, but Europe mocks him and don't appreciate him at all. I share this guy's opinion about Swedish entry.

Eurovision celebrates diversity which means there is room for any genre and not just commercial pop. I don't get it why there are still people who are pissed when non-commercial songs win. They don't get Eurovision.

For me, there are lots great non-commercial songs and also great commercial, contemporary songs. But people are actually MORE PISSED OF and complaining about mainstream music, and I don't get why, we should have everything on Eurovision. It is all fine, someone should be allowed to like what he likes, and when someone says that loves Lie To Me or Dance You Off, people on Youtube start to trash them and their opinion.

Agree 100% with what you said. That's why I love ESC for many years. Different kind of songs by different countries. Even though I grew up with (Hard) Rock/Metal, I love all kinds of genres as long as a song touches me in some way. Can be melancholic and sad, can be happy end joyful, can be a commercial intended song, but also a non-commercial one. But I think ESC also has to do with stating opinions why someone likes or dislikes a song. That's what it is about in a forum. People sometimes forget that objectivity doesn't exist in such a case, it's all subjective. BUt we can agree on one thing: we love music! :p

Because Eurovision becomes more and more irrelevant because of such One-Hit-Wonders like Jamala and Salvador. Imagine Kristian won last year.. I mean he already has an impressive Career, but it could have been much better... But Salvador didnt make a big Use of his Victory (even before he went to hospital). From Jamala we never heard anything since then, but Frans is still relevant etc..

I see your point, but Frans hasn't had a marvellous career after ESC either? At least not in Sweden...

His Song is 2 years later still a hit and he had a new Single "liar". Also it has to be mentioned that he was 17 and probably still goes to school.

I've started to enjoy this song significantly more when it plays while I'm walking somewhere. I just can't help but strut to the beat and sing along.

Seriously? What is "commercial pop", "non-commercial songs" and "diversity" in music? Do you mean non-commercial songs are not meant to be sold? Do you suggest the artists should perform for free and just because it's "fun"? Sorry, but this sounds like simplified and dated empty phrases to me - psedoserious perhaps? And who is pissed? Taking into account your passionate and consistent trolling of the Swedish thread, this psedoserious attitude is laughable and the trolling annoying - sorry to say.

I'd say we want professionals in Eurovision, not amateurs. Real artists that are devoted and serious with their artistry, signed and backed by the music industry. Promising emerging talents are fine, but amateurs, posers and failing careers are not really.

Sophia Somajo - Happy People (Everything Was Beautiful And Nothing Hurt)

Funny situation is when someone hates this song without even knowing what the song is about. And to say that upbeat, mainstream pop song doesn't even have meaning is just silly overall. That is saying enough at some point. I don't want to act always smart here, but Dance You Off means that you want to erase the pain in your heart after bad relationship and break-up with dancing, even though you still have feelings for that person. That is also one of the reasons I love this song, because it shows positive way to continue with your life, being happy and dancing, instead of being depressed and destructive like many people tend to be after breakup. :D

Yaaasss! :D xyes Hahah, but, now really, all these 0s doesn't mean anything, and they are not relevant, because most people will hear the song for the first time in ESC, I think they will like it. :D ;) They don't watch Mellfest, to be mad because their favorite has lost.
