Danny - The "Only Good Fuckboy"??!
What is a "fuckboy"? Doesn't sound anything nice to me.

Whatever it is, I'm sure Molly Sandén will neither approve or agree.

idk how it is not clear, but: even though danny kind of invented being a swedish douchey pretty boy, the kind that has dominated melfest and made it terrible since 2016, he is great and really should have won melfest already, and i am pretty sure he would if he came back now because the app voting would benefit him. SAVE US DANNY.

lol Peace dude. In any case, my infallible gut feeling tells me neither Danny Saucedo or Molly Sandén will enter Melodifestivalen in the forseeable future. Both are deveoloping rather solid careers in Sweden right now and whatever esc fame they have, is helping them a bit internationally. Although both are into songs in Swedish. For example Molly was one of the hosts in the latest P3 Musikhjälpen and will apparently release a new album soon.

I haven't seen anyone so young, yet so professional on stage! Everyone could easily see that he enjoys the stage, he is all in it! Best performer, really, no matter of what someone could say! Even without the light tubes, he owns that stage with his charisma! :) xcheerxheat

It seems to have been a terrible audience - hard to tell without having been there though

Yeah, many people in comments section are complaining about terrible audience. And as I can see, I find it weird that hate still continues in comments and dislikes. I am always empathetic and sensitive when it comes to other people emotions, and I feel sorry for Benjamin, I think he is doing amazing job, the best he can, and I don't see what is going wrong with your entry this year. Also, I think that Sweden was never so low in the odds. :confused:xshrug

To hate and dislike is the easiest thing. Some even think it's a cool thing. The hard part is to NOT give in to your first sceptical impulse and I think if it is your only emotion, refrain from comment altogether. Few people give the same considerations online what they would in real life. I regret I was so harsh against Benjamin during Melodifestivalen deltävlingar. I was completely out of line for no reason whatsoever. When I bothered to take time to learn more about him, I turned into a supporter. Benjamin is indeed doing a terrific job and he is the clearly the best act we could send. I also think he got the Swedes behind him in this.

Yeah, he is the best choice, I think, Felix's song is really beautiful, but it reminds me of songs like Germany, Lithuania, Spain this year, it wouldn't stand out enough. Anna Bergendahl had also similar slow song, the only time when Sweden stayed in semi final. So I am not sure that Felix would do so well. Also, many people are criticizing color of Benjamin's voice, but I like those high male voices, like Michael Jackson, Weeknd, Adam Levine, those are my favorite kind of voices, so it is just about someone's taste. I think he sounded excellent.

I'm so thankful we send Benjamin and not Felix. My favourite candidate was Margaret. She would have been superfun, although I think quite a bit troublesome at many levels. With Benjamin everything is safe and straghtforward, it feels nice. Benjamin isn't the best singer in my opinion, but he is a true performer.

I agree, his voice is not out of this world, but it is good enough, especially for the type of music he performs. Margaret also was in my top 5 of Melodifestivalen, her song is sooo catchy, but because of lyrics, it could be troble with juries in Eurovision. Without a doubt, Benjy is the best choice, he has the full package for Eurovision. Maybe many people hate the song, because it is more modern than usual ESC songs, and too mainstream, but he got lots of compliments for his personality. -O-

let's be honest he is toooootally lipsyncing the choruses lol. but he nails the choreography and that is more important to me anyway. much better than last year's Lumber On A Suit act already.

LOL, you are right! :D He was singing on the top of the backing track in London, during whole song, I am sure, I could hear it clearly. But now I don't hear him in chorus, too, but I think he will sound decent and ok in Lisbon. I also don't like their entry and performance from last year, for me it was like robotic clothing line commercial. :) If anything, at least this year's performance, choregraphy and staging really fit perfectly the atmosphere and the theme of the song.
