This song is too monotonous. I get sleepy every time when I listen to it.

Ngl it should have been LIAMOO (that song xheart), but still a great entry. Sweden guaranteed top 5 imo, possible winner. Personally I give it 10 points.

Everytime I see your name that song plays in my head

The performance and the fact that it is almost alone in it´s genre this year will make it stand out, and that is not a bad thing in ESC

Our entry this year is ok, neither good or bad, I´m pretty sure we will qualify for the final, but there it is 50/50, either it will go very well or very bad. We have to wait and see.

But I personally give this a 7

the only thing I do not like is his nod (with his head)
I find that even a bit scaryxscaredxscared

Not only this move, but whole routine is for me unsympathetic and weird. Sweden 2017 was on the same level and gif posted by ZoboCamel is even more scary.

Some people say that everyone who don't like this year's Swedish entry is a hater os is jealous because of Swedish successful past on ESC. Personally I disagree, I just don't like this one (like I didn't like Sweden 2017 or Russia 2016). But Loreen, Mans or Frans were so good in my opinion. Especially Eurphoria and Heroes - they were true performances by real artists, made not by people who can be replaced by someone else found anywhere.

I saw, for the very first time, Melodifestivalen this year, I think this is a great show.

I´m one of these persons that says that and it´s only a little fun remark over that our entries the latest years has been bashed very hard in here.

I guess it comes down to which expectations you have for each country (not talking specially about us in this case, this can applied to many countries songs)

What i'd like to know is, how did "Every Day" go from being 200,000 votes behind "A Bitter Lullaby" and "Party Voice" in the Semifinal, to beating them by 400,000 votes? It's not like Every Day is a grower, it's an instant impact song. I think it just shows people vote for the running order positions/established artists rather than the songs! Same with Felix Sandman. That's why it's just always so damn predictable, new artists ALWAYS have to struggle to get recognised by the final. I could have told anyone that Felix Sandman was better on one single listen than Mariette or Rolandz's songs.

Were both "Every Day" and "Every Single Day' growers for you too then? :p I don't know, it's just weird that Every Day could overtake by more than half a million votes when the performance was virtually identical (my favourite song too :p ).

I actually think it's rather genius of SVT to not have the stage performance as the official preview clip on the ESC-channel. There are a lot of people that just watch those clips and will learn to like the song first, and THEN get the pleasant surprise of the amazing staging. It will probably create more hype during the Eurovision-week, and that's when it matters.

Why is Sweden so low in the odds ranking? Only 7th isn´t good enough.:?

Sweden is 6th, but I doubt that Czech Rep. and Australia will do better. So no worry, Benjamin will get his deserved Top5-Ranking.

I find it interesting that so many people are quick to call this 'generic fast food crap' yet defend the equally-as-vanilla song from Ukraine. xthinkxthink

They just criticise it because it's Sweden. Of course there's a lot of others "generic fast food crap" if we can call it like that.. Just look at Cyprus, Australia, Poland, Finland, Czech Republic.. No offense of course because except Poland, I love all these songs.

people really do associate sweden with generic specially now after our royal highness salvador sobral outlawed all fast food music, but i think people do feel something is missing in this song (because it is; it is kinda flat and ingrosso fails to capture the mood he is going for, specially in the verses) and just go for the easy criticism instead of thinking a bit harder about it.

This vanilla at least has pepper that is MÉLOVIN's indistinguishable accent. And at least a bit of cinnamon inside because, well, MÉLOVIN.

I don't hate the song by any means, but I've noticed that pre-recorded vocals are a thing at Melfest which makes me question how this will sound live.
However, the full on visual aspect of the performance is on point.
