I am very happy Spain is in the competition. When they start making songs on their own, like they did in 2013, I'll grant them more than 1 point. It's a big country, probably packed with talents, why go for the ususal swedish crap? I'm dissapointed.

I know about that, but I'm asking what genre is it? I wouldn't simply describe it as pop. There's more to it than that.

It's a mid-tempo pop song with ethnic elements. You can use all that or any combination of mid-tempo/pop/ethnic.

This is the best Spanish song in the last 20 or more years.
Finally you have to remember to have good music.
My absolute favorite to win, for now ...
If you do not win, you deserve top 3 .
Finally it was from Spain arrived top quality song..

I like Amanacer a lot, but I have one problem that sadly shouldn't have anything to do with the song: Spanish fans.

Essentially, if you don't have Spain in your top 5, prepare for a mob of fans to tell you you're wrong for having an opinion or dislike your top. I feel that the whole fiasco of over-cocky Spanish fans really takes away from the song IMO and if Spain don't do well this year (which could happen if the song gets lost) there's gonna be a lot of Spaniards severely disappointed on May 23.

I think that the Spanish people are those who criticise the most the song this year. It is thanks to European people in general that I have some hope with my country. Why do you think that?

I still consider Spain's entry nothing special, but I think it will grow on me. I already gave it some points (4 or 3, don't remember now) in the ranking game.

I mostly gathered my thought on it from Top 21's on YouTube, and when people rank Spain outside of the Top 10, the videos tend to be heavily disliked and nearly all of the comments are filled with a lot of negative comments towards the uploader. However, I love Amanacer and it's slowly creeping up into my Top 3, possibly my favourite song to date.

I was checking the latest news on Youtube and found this video. It gave me goose bumps!!!
The message in the beginning says:

This is what most of the Spanish people think about Eurovision:
Spain will never win
Everything is politics
We should sing in English.
We should stop investing in this.
We should withdrawn.

"This year we are gonna change this way of thinking"

It says that Europeans owe it to us as well. (Maybe not, we should send a winner song first :p)

I know it's not gonna happen, but I like the fact that it this song has captivated more people than (most) of the entries in Eurovision.
It's a good way of promoting Spain as well :p

This and every year

It cannot be worse than the French towards their own representatives. LOL
Each year, the artist is heavily mocked, criticized and looked down on, the medias and many people promise him/her/them the penultimate/last place even if they don't give a damm about the entries of other countries. No matter his/her/their style, experience, age, musical universe etc...
Right now, many people in France are blaming N'Oubliez pas and Lisa Angell for being bland, old-fashioned, boring, dated etc...
Strangely, Moustache had the reverse characteristics but it was certainly the most bashed entry.

Sometimes, I even wish that France will send one song entirely in English next year just to tell the people shocked that an English song represents France : "Perhaps you should have been kinder towards all the artists who has the courage to support our country and language you bunch of assholes !"

Concerning Amanecer, I prefer this entry over Dancing in the rain. It sounds mystical and is very pleasant to listen to. One regret: there is no particular climax and I hope that the live performance will be great. The Big 5 is providing great songs this year

It has been completely unfair for your country in many many years. I could say that in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014 you deserved a top 10 at least. I don't understand the reason why such bad positions...

Spain is really putting a lot of effort this year, I hope you'll get the top 5 that you deserve.

This is sadly so true, and also one of the reasons why other Spanish people, who are not fans, are so intense against their own entry as well. Spanish eurofans are hooligans. Whoever is going to be the biggest favourite this year should be prepared for the Spanish eurofan bullying.

I think only here I have read decent Spanish fans ...

About the song, I don't really know what to think, it's still a big meh for me and screams bottom 5, but it might grow on me.

One thing for sure - Spain is a real contender to win this year. Now everything depends on the capabilities of #TeamSpain to pull out a great stage performance in Vienna. Given their effort and the passion they invest in the project, I'm sure that finally this will be the year of Spain.

I'm sure we will have a well recorded symphonic version soon :)

From what I heard I'm starting to think we should go with this in Vienna. It's so strong and gave me goosebumps.

This is sadly true, but we are also the ones who boycott us the most and we are not the only ones in this hooliganism. I remember I was completely bulled in 2009 by many Norwegian fans (remember "La noche es para mí" was a fan favourite despite we all know what happened later ). Take a look at some Swedish fans too... It was the same when Turkey was taking part. Or UK and Armenia last year trying to boycott each other. And I could give many more examples that I suffered personally, especially in those Facebook groups that sometimes looks like they gather the worst of the humanity.

Spanish fans are more over-dramatic and annoying, but in the end the crap is the same crap everywhere and that's unfortunately very common in every single country with a big fan base.
