The symphonic version sounds amazing, but I think the current version is more appropriate for Eurovision...

I think this song is meant to do great, I'm predicting top 5. However, it's not my cup of tea at all... but there are worse songs this year. 3 points.

You know that 5 second snippet they teased us with before? Can anyone actually find it in the song? Because I can't

It's difficult because the orchestra was added later. I think they said it was the 5 last minutes. Without all the violins and Edurne's voice, could be.
Either that or the first five seconds in the bridge.

According to the other forum apparently the song is being revamped :?

They've spent all this time creating this song, to revamp it? Nah.

This was the post on the other forum:

Tony Sanchez, producer and composer of Amanecer, gave an interview to an online-Eurovision radio program. Some conclusions:

- He is just part of the team, he's not responsible at all ofhe whole project. They are holding several meetings and he always emphasizes the importance of making an impact, something that has staying memory power. They've had several meetings with Sony and he has sent different videos and materials from different years
- Some well-known and renowed professionals will be working on the stage performance for Vienna, they will all be revealed in due course
- The video will not reflect their ideas about the real stage performance, but it'll show the quality and professionality of the team
- They have received all the feedback from the fans and they are considering making some changes, mainly adding more strings and mixing the pop version and th symphonic version. Tony himself was not very fond of the pop version we heard on Sunday.
- He thinks that TVE really wants to win Eurovision, but he thinks that they need to work harder on the camera shots, lighting, etc.
- The might ask EBU for a deadline extension if needed. They have been working on the final version of the song, with a stronger string arrangement, but the decision has not been made yet.

So it sounds like their still tinkering with it :?

Is that actual really been said or is just someone speculating? I understand they want the best result possible, but would the EBU really give them an extension for some tweaking on their song which will probably do really well as it is.

The EBU should not grant them an extension but you know they always will. They had plenty of time and it was their choice to reveal the song this late. They still have over a week to fix things so better get to work.

I actually agree with everything Mr Sanchez pointed out and how to make the song better and stand out more. Not sure if victory is on the table but I'm glad that TVE is taking this seriously and that they are willing to host. A good result will hopefully provide them with further encouragement to do better in the future.

What exactly is the rule because I always thought you were allowed to tinker with the song past the deadline as long as it was not a complete transformation and anything drastic :?

Yes. I'm listening to the interview right now, but I think they're just reinforcing the symphonic part. I'll tell you in some minutes.

Yeah, that's my question too. Usually, the definitive versions are coming weeks after the deadline, so I'm not sure a deadline extension is really needed here.

If they just want to enhance the strings I'm sure that wouldn't change the song too much that they would need an extension but he also said, "mixing the pop version and the symphonic version" which certainly could really change it a lot so perhaps that's why an extension would be required xshrug

Well, the pop version already has symphonic elements since an important part of the music was taken from the orchestra.

The symphonic one which was recorded this week. We had a teaser where we could hear the music, but with Edurne's voice so low. We'll get to know the proper version next Monday, if I'm not wrong.
