I really think a lot of drama will come out of this NF. That crowd-funding thing where people can get some of the royalties of the songs is just too weird.

Yeah it's really peculiar. The NF at first glance is wonderfully ambitious considering it's our dear beloved lil' San Marino, but on closer inspection, it's like this whole thing has come from the mind of a child who's only previous experience is running a lemonade stall in their front yard. Nothing makes sense. It reminds me of the time I tried to start a black market video game and trading card selling business at my high school, which went about as well as you can imagine (not very). I don't think I want to hand over money if our say is 10% vs the 90% say three people have, one of whom is a songwriter working on the songs.

I so would have bought a share in Valentina's songs though, even if I feel like i'm the only person in the world who actually purchased each of her EPs from itunes I wonder if they accept buttons and string?

In the interest of transparency and because some of you asked, a few words on how the songs were written: We didn't give the candidtes pre-manufactured songs. Instead we conducted a songwriting camp in Vienna, for which we prepared a few chords and melodies. Our songwriters, producers and the candidates themselves then collaborated to turn them into finished songs. As a result, we've got a lot of songs with multiple songwriters (several have five songwriters). Zoe Straub, one of the judges, actively participated in the camp and has credits on all but two of the songs. The same is true of other members of the 1 in 360 creative team. And the same is also true of the candidates. About half of them have credits on one or more songs. The most active singer songwriter was Jenifer Brening, who received credits on four songs. We'll publish the full list of songwriting credits in due course.
