I don't believe Russia did not see it coming. They knew from the start that they had a tough sell, but they let it happen anyways. Maybe they lost interest in Eurovision, or just wanted to have Yulya live her dream after last year's ban or they wanted to ruin her career. Who knows.

Third option: it's a message to Russians: look how badly Europe treats us! One reason more to support the politics of our beloved President who speaks out against this corrupt westerners.

Maybe this could be a sign, a wake up call. Sick of Russia always going with the same kind of formula. The last time i actually was supporting considerably for Russia was in 2009 with the overlooked Mamo. Please, you can do much better.

Actually this is the C1 formula. The other channel - Rossiya 1 are the most susesfull so far because they where the one's that organized the NF'S and bring the best songs and stages. I miss their NF:( Channel One otherside is very conservative under Yury Asksyuta magnament and i hope that after this faliure they hire another person in the charge.

Btw, although the song itself was meh, the dancers did a great job, their performance was touching, they deserve credit for it.

agree apart from the very last part of the male dancer. That was kinda creepy

I was completely certain that she would not go through, especially after the performance.

After 2015. when PKN got eliminated, I realized that sympathy qualification is not a thing.

That wasn't hilarious at all. Why making fun of someone who was obviously nervous? If it was me I would probably forget my name.

She was there as a singer. That was her job. She was not supposed to be nothing but a tasteless mountain, was she? She was supposed to sing but she forgot to sing. That's not funny? A singer who doesn't know that she is supposed to sing? Really?

Get a life and stop hating on a disabled woman who is living her dream.

Booohooo. She's in a wheelchair and has a dream. Boooohoooooo.
Her disability has nothing to do with this and you know it.

Her dream was to be in Eurovision. She got what she wanted. A nightmare is a dream too, isn't it? ;)

Anyway, thanks for showing us what it is inside your heart. Bitterness and hate.

Since when are you in love with Yulia and her mommy? ;)

I'm not bitter. I'm totally hyped and in an extremely joyful mood.

HAHAHAHA. The live performance was even worse than the rehearsals if it was even possible. Roll your mountain back to Kremlin, dear Julia xkiss

Bottom line is - song was dreadful, sang from wheelchair, wheelchair on the on the mountain - who cares. Still dreadful.

She has courage to stand behind mass murderers flag, she shouldn't have problems performing...

Mocking nervous artists in wheelchairs is like throwing stones to puppies and little kids. It doesn't matter which country she is from. That is just evil spirits.

It's great to see Russia out for once, but there is nothing more to say than that.

Looking for pity because of the wheelchair again? Seriously? Since when does being in a wheelchair make people more nervous?

All of the performers were nervous tonight and on Tuesday. Those who can cope with it proved that they are in the right spot when they are on the ESC stage. If you can't handle it - you have to admit that dreaming of performing is not enough to be successful.

Izvidenie Rossiya, but this is what you get for sending a disabled girl with a very weak vocal talent. Even :pl: or :fi: 2015 deserved better.
Please bring back Lazarev next year if you want to redeem yourselves xpray

Are you telling me that you never screwed up something at your job?

Probably you did.

Was it in front of almost 200 million viewers? Probably not.

That's the difference. The dimension is different. If I screw at my job I would probably laugh. If I screwed in front of 200 million viewers I would probably never leave me bed again.
