Mocking nervous artists in wheelchairs is like throwing stones to puppies and little kids. It doesn't matter which country she is from. That is just evil spirits.

It's great to see Russia out for once, but there is nothing more to say than that.

Thats what she deserves for trying to destroy the Brand "Eurovision" last year and Ukraines Reputation.
I always believed in Justice.
Her Career will probably be over, I dont think Russians will forgive her.
I predict 7 Jurypoints (all from Moldova, they often give 6-8 to Russia) and 50 Televotes from UA/LV/DE/ME/RS/MD/GE

Her CAREER? What?

Also EBU will suffer a major TV viewrs downgrade now with :ru: and :cn:n (their major potential audience) out from the picture and i wonder how they will find money for the next year?

That's why the Big 5 exist, each year they put what... almost 40 to 50% of the money (or more ?) They wouldn't have created a big 5 if the amount of money given was low.

Trying to destroy the Brand of the Musiccontest she is participating in and forcing the Hostcountriy to give up the Souvereignity towards Russia and Destroying its Reputation is more Spirit Evil. She doesnt deserve a Special-Treatment only because she is in a Wheelchair.

Well next year will be Rossiya 1 turn, and this time they will be serious for get bloddy revange with Sergey Lazarev or Olga Buzova as well!

Olga can't sing, her songs are bad and Russia will fail to qualify for a 2nd time in a row if she gets selected.
I agree with Sergey though, but with a better song than YATOO.

I don't mean to wish anything bad to Russia just because it's Russia. But this song was one of the worst this year and the performance was THE worst one of all. So qualification would be undeserved.

Your opinion is your interpretation based on your world view but not an actual fact

Not the slightest loss! People don't stop watching a show that they like. The others won't watch anyway.

Absolutely. It's good to see that a weak song with a weak singer is out and the size of the country, diaspora and 'pity votes' didn't really help. So, it's a well-deserved elimination.

But for EBU, :ru: is a kind of Big 6 due their size and potential viewers, and even :it: join to Big 5 later just in 2011. EBU will now suffer a massive lost of interest in ESC in Russia right now and that will not be good for their bucks...

Maybe this could be a sign, a wake up call. Sick of Russia always going with the same kind of formula. The last time i actually was supporting considerably for Russia was in 2009 with the overlooked Mamo. Please, you can do much better.

It was sadly about time for Russia. This was sad to watch, felt like her team wanted to hide her, she was doing the backing vocals and she was practically in the background. I am sorry for her.

fact is: she is not a great singer.
fact is: the song was mediocre
fact is: the performance was underwhelming at its best, probably the worst tonight (esp. vocally)
fact is: any other country would have not qualified with this.

conclusion: this is a very well deserved NQ.

I hope we see a true effort from Russia next year focussing on music, show, staging, whatever....
for instance: I'd like to see Sergey come back and grab the victory he deserves.

I don't believe Russia did not see it coming. They knew from the start that they had a tough sell, but they let it happen anyways. Maybe they lost interest in Eurovision, or just wanted to have Yulya live her dream after last year's ban or they wanted to ruin her career. Who knows.

I would say the latter. Plus it is a way of protecting their reputation. If they sent someone else, they would lose the credibility.

Btw, although the song itself was meh, the dancers did a great job, their performance was touching, they deserve credit for it.
