I'm guessing they won't qualify with this after the first listen... But like Azerbaijan they will always qualify 'cause they're Russia.

They always qualify because they send slick and modern productions. Russia may be in danger this year but I imagine they'll at least slip through in 9th or 10th place if nothing else.

I'm kinda starting to like this (and of course it has nothing to do with the fact that those girls are so pretty..) ;) In my top 20 anyway, maybe even 15.

This. The entry is not a typical Russian entry. I'm not saying there aren't people who like it or anything, obviously there are always people with different tastes. But imo, this is not on par with Russia's entries the last few years (even compared to their weaker efforts like last year).

This song is totally indifferent, I don't feel anything tbh. I'm sorry that Russia manage to send two useless entries in a row (especially since Russia belongs to one of my all time fav ESC countries). This entry sounds like some sort of last resort.

That's not the point, and it's not as if this is something worthy of understanding... I mean majority of Russians don't even know what they sing

I was going to put my A-Lister hat on and say "This is the Eurovision Song Contest, what does that freaking matter? Different languages are more than welcomed!"
These 'won't understand' comments are starting to tire me!

After hearing the video with the chimunks I understand that the begin of this song is very similar with :se: "Undo" (although I think that someone has already said it)

German site aufrechtgehn.de has an interesting theory about the lyrics:

"Living on the edge, closer to the Crime(a), cross the line (the border) a step at a time": Add one letter and it has a completely different effect

"Maybe there's a place, maybe there's a time, maybe there's a day you'll be mine": Obviously directed towards the Crimean people.

"No one's gonna bring me down": Russian invincibility

"Our love will last a thousand miles": That's roughly the distance between Moscow and Simferopol

It all makes sense now #sign

...man, that's the best conspiracy theory I've heard of in a while.
