Of course it comes down to taste but its pretty obvious that some people just want to pile on criticism only because its Russia and yet if this song was the entry of any other country people would either really fanwank it or just roll their eyes, laugh and just shrug their shoulders with indifference xshrug

So you're going to accuse everyone who dislikes this song of being political?

It's an okay song I guess. Maybe a little bit on the bland side, but we'll see if their performance makes up for it. Probably not a winner, but it has a relatively good chance of getting into the final. :)

I love how this thread only gets political when people are accusing others of political influence  Open your eyes people...

Bland. Would be nice to see Russia stay in the Semis for a change.

1- I don't think ESC voters really care about it. If they really love the song to vote for it, I don't think Crimea or Putin will stop them.

2- The most important thing: Russia's advatange in ESC votings comes from the ex-USSR block voting in ther favour. These people are pro-Russian or Russian themselves, so they will vote for their Mother Russia again this year.

3- If they qualified in 2010, it's not possible they can fail anymore.

Can't agree there. I think the ESC voters will be impacted by current events. I have no doubt it will negatively impact Russia. The only question is how much. I'm not even sure their normal allies will save them.

About your 3rd point, I actually kind of preferred 2010 to this...

Juries brought them a bad result in 2011, and because of that they only qualified 9th or something... so one can only hope!

If that happens, Ryssland would withdraw next year like Turkey did...
Or that's what I think...

even bigger reason for them to fail to qualify then!

And then come back with a Russian song!!!

The song is good, I liked it. I think there is a chance for TOP 10 least-10th place. In principle, it was clear that nothing supernatural is not expected cost.
I want to hear a live performance, but it is unlikely ...

I kind of liked 2010 too, never understood why all the burning hate.

It was great. People complain about 'same boring stuff' and then complain when anything even remotely outside the box gets selected. Plus, I also feel a lot didn't get the tongue-in-cheek nature of the song.

Russia is 10 - 13 in betting odds now, it seems we won't see the emberrasment of Russia with 0 points in semi final, in the end of the day..
