Sensations such...because you didn't explain my point of view. You have everything replaces the word of originality.

I explained very well why I don't like this entry... and I don't need to explain myself to you anyways, I'm just doing you a favor ... gosh such immaturity...

You didn't get me? It's a song contest, if only voices counts then it could be karaoke instead... but we're looking for the best songs, not just the best vocals.

Russophobia?? Are you FOR REAL??? So because I don't like this entry I'm anti-Russian? That's ridiculous! Didn't even occur to you that this entry itself is "anti-Russian"??? How am I a "Russophobe" when I want a more actual Russian sounding entry? And during the 00's Russia was 4 times my #1 ... so plz stop using such silly labels, if you can't take that someone dislike this entry then you're really immature.

I never said I liked the Dutch entry?

Shortcuts just to hang you, when not trying to explain his position. Not only have I asked of the arguments your position, but you are silent. Just irritate it and leads to the thought.. In General, you can think what you want but remember to accuse me of immaturity you don't have the right. One of them can say only the handicapped people. Good-bye, and the topic is closed .

And you end it on the same immature level...

Well, the only one who can't "argument" here is you my friend... the fact that you accuse people of being "russophobes" for not liking this entry proves the immaturity.

What do I have to explain? I already said what I think about the entry plenty of times... in the end of the day it's subjective though, it's taste... there's not much to explain.

But to think that I dislike your entry because you're Russia... that's just pathetic.

I agree with everything A-Lister wrote. First and foremost this is a song contest. Secondly there's a lot more to a voice than how "technically good" it is. Dina's very young, she's obviously been trained to sing from a young age. She hasn't lived yet and you can tell that from her voice. Everything is so placid. There's nothing raw there to latch a hold of. Nothing that feels honest. Add on top of this a bland, uninspiring song, nauseating lyrics and performance and you've got what feels like one of the most contrived songs ever in the contest.

I love Russian music and culture. "Lady Alpine Blue" is one of my all time favourite entries. This entry has got to be a new low though.

I don't like "Birds" either, but it's of course better than this one because it has atleast some originality and a more genuine singer.

i see What if as my ringtone on mobile, but Birds not at all.

"Birds" not original at all, only an fool would think that. Its basically a dated 50s B movie credit opener, completely pretentious and full of itself like some teen girl who wrote a poem thinking she is all deep and **** but in reality gets nothing but giggles and eye rolls from the teacher. Truth is its as un genuine as you claim this is.

You already told people you dislike this song so why do you keep banging on about it over and over, unless you secretly like or feel threatened by it.

In comparison to THIS entry "Birds" is of course original, but yeah I'm no fan of "Birds" either but for reason it's been throwed around in this thread so I just answered on that comment... dunno why it's been mentioned here though.

Well, I feel threatened in that sense that entries like these destroy ESC imo (in particular if it would end up high)... like it? NEVER!

I don't think one Russia can lead to destroying contest with such songs and they don't send it every year. We're getting to too much dark scenarios. I think as long as whole Balkans, Greece are in, Estonia, if comeback: Portugal, most often France, Spain, now Italy they mostly send the songs from their music market and style and very often in their language we're pretty safe yet. To me unfortunetaly Azerbaijan and Sweden are the countries that are consistently spoilng the contest with their "perfect" songs in English. I thought last year with Sabina's ballad Azerbaijan made small step towards their culture and language, even though Swedish writers but there were some influences of Azeri culture, now here we are two steps back to typical ESC pop. Yes Russia song qualify to this category this year, but I blame the lyrics, I like the song and melody itself a lot, even if it's too American in sound for Eurovision. There are some exceptions you know :p I'm not going to cheat myself and dislike a song when I like it ;)

The English language is hardly the biggest problem in the Russian entry, it's the style of the song... it would be very dangerous for ESC if it would win or even come close to winning because the last thing this contest need (if it wants some credibility) is to be a contest for cheesy dated ballads.

For me this song was one of tzhe mosst boring of this year, but till last night. Dina was just great, so simple but so powerful. This is very very strong contender for win ESC.

If it wins, I am no longer an ESC fan... then the purpose of this contest is officially over and they can simply change the name to "The Voice of Europe" and make it a karaoke singing contest with dated ballads instead... because then it's a proof that it's no longer a song contest nor a contest where the entries need to even have a remote connection to their countries.

hmm we'll see

Well, if next year would be filled with clones of this then it's obvious not worth having this contest running any longer... then the juries goal of turning ESC into an Anglovision Singing Talent Show has been made reality...

Yes I think you're right, but I don't think Russian delegation, directors are to blame in first line, to me they try to follow a certian path that usually give success in Eurovision. It wasn't started by them, though.
Pop song, anthemic lyrics and performance, friendly looking singer and if possible - great voice... we all know that gives goods but sometimes it fails too and I think of Anna Bergendahl for example...there is some conciousness left in people in Europe and I think Eurovision audience has it flaws but it's not completly dumb you know  To me good example are years 2003-2005 we get Sertab, Ruslana and Helena wins... people... let's say Belgium think let's make pop-dance hit and Kate Ryan to sing = we get great result. Then flop in semi, Lordi wins the final as kind of reaction to that pop, I think sickness even from the formula used in previous three consecutive years. Maybe I'm reading too much into this...but I have some faith in people and the fact that songs like Randajad, Suus, Birds are doing relatively well or great and Balkan epic songs get wins and podiums in past decade means that there is a room for originality, quality and that to some point ESC audience has surivival instincts ;D
