Hmm... I guess I'm one of the few that did not find her convincing vocally. Loved the staging as well as Dina's natural stying though.

What irks me is - why do Russia come up with such generic tracks every other year...? Dima's winning song, Dina, Alex, Julia Savicheva, their 2002 ugly boyband (kinda quoting Terry Wogan)... all pastiched, American entries... the only remotely genuine tracks they've sent lately were the Grannies and Anastasiya in 2009. Surely there must be some similar artists in the whole of Russia to participate with an authentic song?
Probably because aside from Babushkies, Russia tends to do better with the 'generic' tracks. Nastia and Nalitch didn't even make Top Ten and they were the most "Russian" songs the last who knows how long.

Mamo was in the voters' Top-10 and Pjotr Nalitch missed it by one point. So this doesn't serve as an excuse at least for me.

Yeah, it's all the juries fault in this case... if it weren't for the juries return, we would have not got this dated cheese in English from Russia... it's all to cater the taste of these supposed "professionals" that thought ESC was American Idol...

Well, I actually liked Julia's entry... but I see where you're coming from, and this entry really takes the price of being fake.

I also don't get it, "Big Mother Russia" this huge country which always wants to come off as patriot and strong... yet they rely on sounds of their "enemies" so much for Russian pride!!

I liked Julia's entry too - reminiscent of Texas' 'Summer Son' in parts, which I adore to bits xheart... oh where was I?

You're right about relying on 'enemies' for their Eurovision sounds... I always wish they'd finally send Varvara one day, with a song like 'Dreams' - or whatever the title was, SING IN RUSSIAN please!!!!

Good... but this is ESC and not "The Voice"...

And her voice is nothing special, conventionally good but I'd rather take a more original vocalist with some flaws than conventionally good but boring... but being the cheesy extremely conventional ballad it is I guess Dina's are just right for the concept...

still though, it's a song contest where original songs compete to be Europe's favorite song, it's not a singing contest... sure singing counts, but not more than the songs.

Nice voice but I didn't like the staging with the chorus and those shiny balls...

But this song contest. And the voice - is main important thing! The vocals better than Dina's today don't sing no reason no one may not admit it?

Voice is NOT the most important thing, as you said it's a song contest, we look for the best SONG, it's NOT a singing talent show...

The vocals ARE important, but if the song sucks it shouldn't matter hos good they are.

And Dina's vocals are good, but conventionally boring... and she wasn't the best live singer either... you have to go into the Ukrainian thread to find that one ;)

ahah oh my God...

And what's the original the other numbers? In fact perhaps, that they may not in the tone get to the live version? You know for the whole of the original, as you put it there are beauty contests, but it is important voice. Otherwise - this is not a song contest.

I don't like "Birds" either, but it's of course better than this one because it has atleast some originality and a more genuine singer.

Voice is important, but the SONGS are the most important... otherwise they could sing kareoke like in "The Voice"... the concept of Eurovision is looking for Europe's favorite SONG and not the "best vocals"... and the point is also that songs should represent their country's, this has no connection to Russian music (neither modern or traditional).

I still like this song, and if it wasn't for the video I would say it deserve top 10.
How ever since Ive been watching this show since Napoleon faced his Waterloo....
I do have to comment some things

1) Celine Delone ....... been there done that (unless we get the real person back) -1
2) The voice is perfect for Andrew Lloyd Webber's musicals ...... -1
3) Classcical modulation +1
3) fireworks at the end missing -1
4) bycicle lights from the audience (the Olsen Brothers had lighters take that) -1
5) Swedish composers = no russian toothless music this year and no russian ethno +4

I will not jugde the lyrics since half of the other songs are not understandable anyway..

So Rusia deserverve to qualify, will end in top 10 but not with my help

Are you kidding me?! What karaoke at the international competition? Just tired of the wave of Russophobia. The Anouk no emotion in the song. She is on my mind well she sang, but it was really boring and what is its originality?

You didn't get me? It's a song contest, if only voices counts then it could be karaoke instead... but we're looking for the best songs, not just the best vocals.

Russophobia?? Are you FOR REAL??? So because I don't like this entry I'm anti-Russian? That's ridiculous! Didn't even occur to you that this entry itself is "anti-Russian"??? How am I a "Russophobe" when I want a more actual Russian sounding entry? And during the 00's Russia was 4 times my #1 ... so plz stop using such silly labels, if you can't take that someone dislike this entry then you're really immature.

I never said I liked the Dutch entry?

I like the song, but as it was said before: the lyrics are too camp, too typical eurovision peace-anthem. But we can't do anything about it, this won't change... a little shame because I wouldn't just liked it, I'd probably be close to loving it if it had more ambitious lyrics.
Things is... it - typical ESC theme set of words that make lyrics work in this contest if we liked it or not - once again audience proove they don't care about the lyrics but impression. And Russian performance DID impress me in a good way! It was simple, lights in arena did great effect and I think she sung great! She has great voice and I think she was in a group of those singers that sounded the best tonight, nerves didn't get to her or at least she didn't let it show and influence her.
I think Top10 is real for this song.

Touching the true-Russian songs... I miss and absolutely love ones like Viechnyj Strannik, but I guess those times won't come back...
