It's got potential but I just don't buy into it. Not keen on his English which falters the song in some way. Hmmm this could go either way. 1 point,

I've loved Voltaj's music for a while (discovered them thru an APH fanvideo someone made on Romania), so I was so happy to see/hear that they'd be representing Romania. *claps* And when I watched this video, I thought, "all the feels!" There's a sadness, but also a sense of hope. I liked seeing the kid write that letter. The video cinematography is beautiful too. I think doing this bilingually is very smart--the English part allows us to directly understand, but it's also refreshing to see Romania use their native language again. Calin Goia really needs to work on his English diction, though.

One of my favorites right now. :)

Eurovoix is a good source for JESC news, but I'm not sure about ESC. If it's true - well, Romania is in big trouble.

It's in my top 3. Gives me beautiful feelings each time I listen to this song. Very emotional.

The Romanian representatives at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, group Voltaj, will be dressed by the fashion designer Florin Dobre. Dobre also worked with Romania’s 2012 representative Mandinga .
“It is an honour for me to collaborate with Romania’s representatives at the Eurovision Song Contest. Voltaj is one of the most prestigious bands on the local music scene. The outfits will comply with the current trends. They will be minimalistic, and, from my point of view, they will reflect the song and its social message”, the designer said.
Voltaj are tipped to wear white suits on stage in Vienna and will have white suitcases with them.

Curious to discover where Voltaj will be on the final chart. There isn't much hype for the Romanian entry this year but it's a perfect song for the "diaspora vote"

Definitely one of the most boring songs of the year.

I expect a similar results to everything they've been sending since 2011. Something between 12th to 18th place in the Final. It has enough support to qualify, but it's not the kind of song to enter the Top 10. Unless the juries will heavily support it which I doubt.

Exactly. I don't understand why people don't keep in mind this. Personally it's one of my favourite entries this year, and I think it's a real contender.

Oikotimes: Romanian community in Brussels furious with Voltaj scandal

"We got in contact with the Romanian community and this smells really bad. Initially the Romanian community was informed by TVR and Voltaj management there was no budget to do any promotion so they could ‘unfortunately’ do no promotion. The Romanian community responded with an exceptional offer: full flights, accommodation and all expenses were to be covered to have Voltaj at the event on Saturday 25th April.

However the reply was shocking! The reply from Voltaj people was as follows ‘we are very sorry but our program is full so unfortunately we can not visit brussels for this event’. However our friends from the Romanian community contacted directly the band and their reply was really shocking: ‘Really do you think that Voltaj would even consider to come to Brussels for free and perform there? We want money, then we might think about it. We have never heard that for Eurovision you should perform for free somewhere’.

This was obviously unacceptable so the Romanian community stopped all negotiations. In the end Serbian delegation was present at the event so a shocking announcement was made on the day by the presenters. ‘As Voltaj didn’t want to come for various reasons we are very happy to welcome extra Bojana Stamenov, the serbian representative. so we know now surely to whom we have to vote for in the first semifinal for Eurovision’."

Interesting. Apparently eurovision love doesn't touch everyone alike which is, of course, understandable. Not everyone can afford to work for free and some kind of promotions simply might not interest you xshrug

Our own dear Leonor must have felt something similar as she didn't attend any event and was busy just some 2 weeks ago recording her own new (and very first I should gather) single.

It sounds nasty anyway xdown

remember that Oikotimes is not one of the most reliable sources, but if that information they have revealed is true, it´s not a very good thing for either TVR or the delegation
