Some promising songs , but it wouldn't make sense to rank them or give an accurate opinion before listening to full versions.

Good level overall, I think there's more quality this year than in 2017 where Salvador literally saved us with that being said, I wish there was more variety in the styles of the songs because they seem to appeal just to some people.

My clear favorite is Maria Amaral, I want to listen to the full song asap
Janeiro is also very good, I'm glad Salvador picked him! The name of his song in english is ''(untitled)''
José Cid is surprisingly good didn't expect that
Anabela has a very pleasant song and a great voice, but I don't think I would send it to ESC

The overall level is pretty good. Most of these songs are hard to judge with only 45 seconds though, they will need the 3 minutes to properly develop and form an opinion.
However, even if everything seems good, it's all very samey. It sounds like most of them tried to follow a formula similar to "Amar pelos dois" last year. The more uptempo songs will really stand out, especially if the 2nd semi-final is like this one.
I think my favourites were "Zero a zero", "A mesma canção", "Eu te amo", "(sem título)" and "Para sorrir não preciso de nada":

"Austrália" sounds like it will have hilarious lyrics

First impression and it sounds like we're back into full old Portuguese blandness. Everything sounded dull dull dull. Some of the lyrics are cringeworthy (Cid's,for ex, but he's not alone). Kind of lost the will to watch this semi and feeling like jumping ahead for the 2nd, but of course things might look a litle brighter when the full versions come live. A bit curious about Beatriz Pessoa, wondering if something can still come out of there. Read a few comments here and there mentioning quality with a kind of uncertain reverence - due to Salvador's song and bla bla no doubt. Quality is not dull. Salvador was never dull.

Last time I checked this was a forum where people were allowed to have their own opinion your opinion isn't more important or truthful than others
