Meh, nothing can surprise me anymore (after turkey :?).
Ofc, i hope san marino will be there, i'm all for that "the more the merrier" thing xbow

We have to be realistic here. Every1 knew that next year will be a tough one. We all knew it even before we had the winner of this year xbow
Things may seem a bit off now but srsly, that was expected :?

Won't be surprised if San Marino do a Monaco and pull out after 3/4 attempts... sadly, chances for them to qualify are always minimal, by default

To be honest SM was not that far away from qualifying this past two years, and the entries werent that great.

Exactly, taking into account that they are :sm: and how bad their entries have been, it's surprising they did as good as they did even.

Eurovision's Facebook page and eurovision.tv :)

I see...

So folks, it's confirmed that the list above is the final one. 39 countries will participate in Eurovision 2013 in Malmö, Sweden.

There will be no record year in 2013 as many of us hoped, on contrary ESC 2013 will be rather small :(

:am: comes back, while :pt:, :sk:, :ba: & :tr: drops out. :pl: stays out yet another year after withdrawing in 2011 while :cz:, :ad:, :mc:, :lu: are still not wanting to comeback. :li: haven't got accepted by EBU yet, otherwise we might have had them in 2013 aswell, same goes for :kz:.

Let's hope, even with a smaller ESC, that it will be a great one nevertheless.

Considering the financial climate, losing 4 countries and gaining 1 is pretty good going. We should be grateful we even have this many.

Same number as we had in 2010 for Oslo. It's a sucky number cause it's uneven so one semi will have 16 songs and the other 17...

Yep. Last time we had 39 countries (2010), there were 17 in each semi, but that was only because Italy wasn't there (Big 4 and Norway, w/ 34 in the semis). Now, we have the Big 5 and the host in the finals, but uneven semis.
