Because TVP has zero incitements of actually entering. Poland is not successful in this, there is not general public interest or artistic interest aswell. The Euro argument was just an excuse that came in the right time... but we'll see, I hope of course you'll come back.

But it has always been like this! TVP has never been "enthusiastic" about Eurovision, and they never made any announcements before September/October. As you're a Swede, it might be hard for you to understand, that not every country announces their participation immediately :? In Sweden, ESC is a very serious thing, in most other countries - it isn't. But that does not mean everyone will withdraw, just because they didn't make any early announcements.

It's not about the late announcement, it's just a feeling I have... I hope I will be wrong though.

I still believe the Euro thing was just an excuse though. I just feel TVP waited for the right moment to withdraw with the help of an excuse.

Back then, when TVP decided to withdraw for 2012, they said that it does not mean they will withdraw for 2013 as well. Lately, they announced that the decision will be made in October, we have to wait. This time, they have no excuse like Euro and stuff.

I know, it's just that their lack of commitment and the lack of a general public interest combined with bad results, were probably the genuine reasons for withdrawal in 2012. I'm afraid that if there will be no actual public pressure on a return, they'll just act like nothing happened and continue their withdrawal.

But then again, I hope I'm wrong.

Just forget about it

But there are people here (both: ESC fans and non-ESC fans), who think that ESC is a great opportunity to integrate with other countries.

Liechtenstein and Kazakhstan won't debut in 2013, because they're not part of EBU, and they won't be until the confirmation period is over. Kazakhstan didn't even got into any further stages of membership talks.
