Those countries still haven't confirmed:

:pt: :it: :sm: :cz: :pl: :lv: :ua: :md: :ge: :az: :me: :mk: :gr: :cy:

Also, it is officially confirmed, that Luxembourg is not returning in 2013.

in this year, i think we've don't have Portugal &/or Cyprus :(

I actually don't see Cyprus withdrawing? They made it to the final, sure the final position was underwhelming, but the song became a hit in some markets and that's more than any Cypriot entry has done really in the past... so I think the incitements of staying are better than in a long time.

I'd add :sk: to that group of countries as their announcement is still in the 'maybe group'.

The fact that :it: didn't mention Eurovision when announcing the rules and concept for next year's Sanremo, make me a bit concerned :? If they're not in, I doubt :sm: will be in.

I hope :pl: and :cz: will come back, but somehow I feel none of them will (especially not :cz:). :lv: will most probably be in, and although having a major economical crisis, I think :gr: will still be in.

:ge: has been pretty successful, but there seems to be a weird lack of interest for this in Georgia (regardless of being quite successful).

@A-lister - I really don't understand why you are so pessimistic about Poland. Because we withdrew this year? I don't think that you're following the correct logic.

Also, San Marino debuted in 2008, when Italy wasn't even thinking of returning, so why would they withdraw?

Curious fact about Moldova - they always say they will withdraw because of financial issues, and they always confirm in the end

I don't want it either. Too much headache...

no, Farahim, I don't want us to withdraw...it's be very foolish decision...we must be in and continue our participation in upcoming editions, because it's a nice expresience for our singers + we still have a chanse to present a song of Azerbaijani composer to show Europe something Azeri

Why would you withdraw? Because you won?? That's weird. If every winning country that hosted this would have withdrawn, there would be very little countries left. It would also show a very arrogant attitude to the rest of Europe "Look we were so succesful we don't need your or this sh*t any longer"

I think now it's the time to really show off real Azeri music and music scene finally. You don't have anything to proof anymore so.

Yes, I meant the same..That's why I'm sure that we won't withdraw + our participation in this year's JESC is a small proof of it :)

I really would want to listen to an Azernaijani Turkic entry one day but unfortunately I also see a high possibilty that they will withdraw in the near future. So far the one and only purpose in their participation was to showcase their power (=providing appealing and successful entries) and, well, they delivered on all accounts. Any further attendance would pose an (in their eyes) unneeded risk. Especially an ethnic entry would march straight to the bottom with that dreadful 'jury', which is already targeting them for political reasons, no matter how good it might be.
Again, I prefer to have them in. I just try to view it from a rational perspective.

I don't think so. If you ask me, Azerbaijan and Turkey will keep this way. Azerbaijan will not show us a song that in their culture, Turkey -probably- will begin a country like Belgium, Slovenia, Slovakia or like these, mostly fails in semis. But will not leave this way, again. Will keep participanting in contest.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Because TVP has zero incitements of actually entering. Poland is not successful in this, there is not general public interest or artistic interest aswell. The Euro argument was just an excuse that came in the right time... but we'll see, I hope of course you'll come back.

Well, SMRTV partly owned by RAI, and if I remember some news correctly RAI is currently cutting down, and some of these cuts will be made in SMRTV. Considering it's a small channel, these cuts might mean they won't be able to enter ESC.
