Well, your loss is my win obviously, but Serbia is still a great basketball nation. And congrats with Djokovic, the best Serbian athlete ever.

Congratulations on the historical final! xcheer I hope this result will push the :nl: basketball as a whole forward.

Yeah. This was my favourite moment of the games from Team GB. My favourite event of athletics (track and field) and Keely won.

:rs: basketball team is in the semi-final after beating :au: with 95-90.

This was literally........a match for a heart attack. We managed to return after losing 24 points of difference.

There were many problems in the play, but the whole team showed huge heart as well as collective strength. Definitely a huge psychological boost before the most important matches.

The good news and the bad news for :ca: on day 11:

Bad news: The men's basketball team fell to France in their quarterfinal match 82-73

Good news: Camryn Rogers takes gold in the women's hammer throw

I hope in the future some more medals are chenged from the bigger to the smaller nations. The Dutch number of medals is actually rediculous. I mean in the table we are even above Germany and Italy and there is still some stuff to come(track cycling and hockey women, also Sifan Hassan and the 4x400meters are still to come)

@AlekS Thank you! I completely agree, this was yet another match for a heart attack and it was really a spectacle for everyone who watched I am sure! :D

I am really proud of our whole team after last night. We were one ball away from defeating..........quite possibly, the strongest team in the history of this sport. Tactically, it was one of the best matches we ever played, and everything was near perfection. Sadly, even that wasn't enough, but I can only be proud.

Several details determined this match - Jokić's fourth foul, that situation where we got 6 points in a single attack, Bogdanović's supposed-to-be 3 points where the ball got out of the basket........

Now it will be very hard to recover after this match but we need to find the strength for one more duel, because bronze medal is at stake. Just like last year, the last match on the tournament is against :de: , a very strong team. I would say, chances are 51-49 in favor of :de: (also because of the psychological momentum we are in, our heads are still in the match against :us: ), but I expect a tough match, and whoever is better......bronze will be deserved.

Since the outage, :ca: picked up a silver and 3 bronze (in pole vault, canoe sprint and taekwondo). A medal is also guaranteed in women's beach volleyball

Well now you know why I made a double post... lol Serbia did great in basketball, that should definitely be a bronze medal in the end. In the mean time Femke Bol 'failed' in the 400 meters hurdles, that was the event we Dutchies were the most excited about, but she didn't show what she was capable of, she could definitely run 50.90, so she was obiviously disappointed, but like Sydney Mclaughlin-Lavrone said. She is an amazing woman! And still has an important medal to win in the 4x400 meters tomorrow!
