COMPETING THEMES (177)

1. All Around The World: a real-world country is chosen by the host. All artists competing in this event must be from the chosen country. In the case of groups, the majority of people in the group must be from the country. The song can be in any language.

2. AATW type of Spinoff but with NSC nations

3. AI Cover Spinoff

4. Covers & Remixes 5: everyone has to send cover or remixed version of a song previously entered in the main contest, including the original versions of songs whose covers or remixes were entered in NSC.

5. Major/Minor: songs changed from major into minor key (and vice versa)

6. NSC ESC Classic: any entry from any year allowed

7. NSC NF

8. Oldies: tba, the host can decide the timeframe

Well I guess I can host this, but I won't be going out of my way to do any special graphics or gimmicks and such.

Give me until the weekend to come up with the secret rule. I'll save it as a downloadable text file with a password that I'll give you once the results are in, just so I can prove there was no underhandedness.

Also some ground rules for the secret rule: It will work based on the entries, not the nations (so it won't be something like "All nations beginning with L lose 50 points") and I'll do my best to make sure it's not something that's likely to affect specific pots of nations more than others (so no "Double points for bagpipes"). It will be something that has a significant impact on the results, affecting many if not all entries.

I will reveal my entry as soon as I open confirmations. You may want to assume that I've chosen an entry that will benefit me/not hurt me when the secret rule comes into effect and gather any clues that you can for choosing your own...

As Unfair Host, I reserve the right to engage in other acts of unfairness as I see fit.

Might take me a little longer to get this up and running - real life trumps NSC every time for me.
