COMPETING THEMES (177)

1. All Around The World: a real-world country is chosen by the host. All artists competing in this event must be from the chosen country. In the case of groups, the majority of people in the group must be from the country. The song can be in any language.

2. AATW type of Spinoff but with NSC nations

3. AI Cover Spinoff

4. Covers & Remixes 5: everyone has to send cover or remixed version of a song previously entered in the main contest, including the original versions of songs whose covers or remixes were entered in NSC.

5. Major/Minor: songs changed from major into minor key (and vice versa)

6. NSC ESC Classic: any entry from any year allowed

7. NSC NF

8. Oldies: tba, the host can decide the timeframe

I'd like to take the hosting in that case :D and I want to open this as sooner as possible since I want to finish this before ESC starts, hopefully no one minds. :D

Well Simon's still hosting NSC 108, so unless he has loads of time on his hands...

And anyway, haven't we still got the Karaoke spin-off going? The first semi-final for ESC 2014 is 8 days tomorrow, so for us to be done before the actual contest starts, we'd need to have a super short registration and voting window. I just figured that people were passing on it this year... xshrug

EDIT: So my first point above is moot, but yeah... how's this gonna be done in time?

Simon said he can open it after the NSC final results! And the confirmation period can be short anyway since most of the songs will be taken quickly + Considering most people know the songs anyway, I don't think it's a problem to run it at the same time as another spinoff.

I don't think it's really a problem if the spinoff finishes after the real ESC ends.
