 is 2nd because of "Rybak". Let's give the song to Stella Mwangi and it would have been placed 23rd.

Give "Amar pelos Dias" to Dustin the Turkey and it wouldnt have qualified.

Give it to me and it will end second to last... Oh man, the singer is part of the song. Didn't expected that. Here the bookies are stupid I guess.

I don't mean it in a bad way, but Fairytale, while catchy af.. was also childish af. And we know how it panned out. So this shouldn't surprise us.

Fairytale was leading all the polls by a huge margin and was for 7 weeks #1 in Norway's charts after he won his national final. Nothing like this here.

I really don't get it why People are whining now. Personality IS a part of the ESC. It is never a song alone. If you don't have charisma, then goodbye. Rybak has it, even when the song isn't that fantastic. Sigh. Then I am the only one shouting: GO Alex!

Worst song this year, are you serious! The END! It won't win, don't be happy before the time, there is no way that juries would award this song without lyrics even. You are delusional.

Yeah, gotta admit, even if I'm that much a fan of the song, I'm finding myself rooting for it more and more, just because (and it's still VERY unlikely), Rybak winning would be a DELIGHTFUL kick in the ass of our fandom  (something maybe we could use more).

Now, being serious for a moment: say whatever you want about Rybak, but he has an advantage other favorites don't: the stage LOVES him. Israel can be tricky, could come as incredible quirky and fun... or just annoying and weird. Estonia it's impressive, but time will tell if the audience can truly connect with her. Bulgaria is a risky choice, it could pay off, but we don't know yet. We know Rybak, though, and he might be a little populist, but by now he could perform on his sleep.

I didn't say anywhere that he would win! But I find it totally okay if he should be in top 10 finally. And what does delusional mean anyway? It's on top 2 now, even when we don't know if he'll stay there.

But there aren't any winner vibes from this entry though. xshrug

I am totally fine with him in the top 5 even, just not with victory! :)

I'm struggling to understand the bookies this year. They're all over the place.

I have secret hopes that in the middle of all these crazy odds, something completely out of left field emerges and takes the trophy. Like Hungary. Or Italy.

It would be a nice change. Bookies sort of ruin the surprise.
