In other news... Boris knows me too well because i think it's time for the festa ay ay ay, no time for siesta.
Kantera, which i predicted for myself is second best.

Here's my ranking: I don't think iv've ever liked this many songs in Malta in a single year

With good staging and maybe a slight revamp with a bit more bass Kantera could easily be top 10 at least with the televote in Eurovision!

After I have been sick for nearly two weeks, I am slowly but surely recovering from this influenza. It doesn't really help that Malta's songs aren't something that I would rave for. The best three songs are

Adria Twins – Qalb ma’ Qalb
Stefan Galea – Lablab (Talk Talk)
Victoria Sciberras – Juno

The rest is boredom or simply average. Sorry I can't be more positive!

I have not many nice words for this nf! I don't need most over the half of the songs.
Positiv is i love the songs from Adria Twins and Victoria Sciberras. Kantera would be outstanding, i like it and i think it would have good chances in Basel. Stefan Galea, Dario Bezzina and Dre' Curmi also have good songs in my eyes, but i they would be save DNQ's. I really hope Malta make the right choice, the last years they didn't.

Lol, I *think* Heaven Sent is the only one that could qualify in this bunch. Angel and demons staging, go ham, go camp (and draw late). I'm not confident that it's a qualifier, but I AM confident that if Kristy is good enough to beat Kantera, she'll be good enough to dodge another last place robbery

I suppose the shitty sea shanty could also qualify if the semi is pathetic and they also draw later (every one of these dies in the first half, let's NOT kid ourselves, and by "draw later" i mean one of the last four to perform in the semi - any earlier is ALSO death)

Frankly, I think Malta are toast regardless but I enjoy the trashfires so I'll take one of those please. If you're not going to contend, the least you can do is entertain on the way out.

This might see Kristy going to ESC.She should be able to deliver live ok,the song is structured for a eurobop type vibe ,the bridge moves into the high energy final chorus very nicely.Its rubbish of course,but might have just enough to look higher class than the rest.The producers might throw themselves behind it as well.Linnea Deb on the writing credits signals there is backing behind this.It will need some good choreo though to elevate.

Kantera to me feels very much like it'll get Malta to the final and then flop because the juries will pay it dirt and the televote will probably be distracted by something else at that point. (I do really enjoy the song but it's giving me Estonia last year vibes in terms of how it'll do)

But that's better than pretty much any other option since I'm not convinced any of the others can even qualify.

Hells yes, it's get-behind-an-abjectly-hopeless-NF-song szn for me This is so cool and groovy and sincere. I love the chorus especially.

As for the two favorites...can they both lose? I marginally prefer the band singing in Maltese but not here for either "Kant" or them.

I only listened to the two frontrunners KANT and Lalaratatakeke Lalaratatakabum. Out of those two, I think I’d prefer KANT but neither of them gets my full support. The problem is, both of them feel very formulatic. And I’m no fan of a Lalalala chorus.

I have just heard JVF again, FIESTA, Maltese cheesy, bilingual, Maltese and English, crappy lyrics, Tom Hugo from Keiino behind the entry, wakes me up on Saturday morning pretty well, they mention Valetta, Fabrizzio the LEGEND Faniello is here..Okay it ticks all the boxes..
