Re: Live from Vienna - EUROVISION 2015 TONIGHT

you're right rules are rules, but is not it correct that the song more 'rated Eurovision throughout Europe in recent decades, with more' than 35 million votes arrivals third?

Um this is incorrect, as far as i know there are no numbers out for the voting from each country, so the actual numbers of votes combined from each and every country given, is NOT counted. In other words, nothing says there is much difference at this stage, a small countrys 12 from televotes does not equal the same amount of voters as a 12 from a large country. When this is counted, you can come back with this hollow clame.

To all italian fanboys: I totally see your point about the voting system. Still it's not nice to say Sweden robbed Italy. Sweden won fair and square with the excisting rules.

The big question is: which voting system is fair? People will complain about the winners in all voting system.

In Sweden's defence, Sweden itself hasn't robbed anybody. Yes, they've benefitted from the system, but they're not actually to blame here. And let's face it, we know Sweden will put on a damn good show next year. Wonder if Petra will get to host again? :D

Please stop the useless bashing from both sides. Sweden won fair and square whether you like the song/rules or not.

Fair? Really? I'm not even getting into Sweden actually not winning it but Italy, but can we please talk abot Bjorkmans influence over EBU? How is that fair?

Rules are rules, but what is really stupid is how combined points are counted. For example, Hungarian televoters put Italy in 1st place and combined with jury votes, Hungary gave 2 points to Italy. This is ridicoulus! What is the point of televoting, if in best case you may (combined with 5 jury geniouses), you can give your country 2 funny points??? If not to Italy, it is unfair to voters, to Hungarians who voted for Italy? Spending €, so they can give 2 points to their favourite country. Or am I missing something.

Once again all countries including Italy accepted the rules with 50% jury and 50% televoting. How is it fair that Italy should win despite being 6th in jury voting???

So do you mean we should change the rules after every contest to give the victory to your favorites?? If so ESC is doomed and destroyed.

Sweden won fair and square with the rules that was accept by all countries long time before the contest.

SuperGirl, calm down, now you have your period?

Sorry but this kind if "high-quality" arguments has nothing to do here, on ESC forum.
Please learn how to argue without considering the sex of the person you are discussing with.

No one force you to vote! Don't vote if you are so poor that you can't accept another country to win.

? If you are so poor that you can't accept another country to win.?

Did you really write that? Just read again and think before you write, please.

-----
Just said that I thought that votes are combined deifferently. I can't believe that it is possible that country gives 0 points for example to country that gets most points by televoting. I though that I don't know, points are counted sepperetly and then countries are ranked or some that way.

Re: Live from Vienna - EUROVISION 2015 TONIGHT

Not only Italians or those who really liked the song from Italy are mad and angry at the moment. I'm very angry that Albania came 8th with televotes and just 17th with combined, but one thing is true and we most accept it: even before the race every country knew the rules and obviously accepted them so its totally unfair to swedens and to those who liked and voted it to say that they won unfairly. We really need to congrats Sweden. Another topic is whether this system 50-50 is fear enough and to discus and find the best model for next year.

Please dont missunderstand my post

I totally agree - All countries knew what the current voting system is like and they all accepted it. We can go on with this discussion for ever but that doesn't change anything about the fact that Sweden is the rightful winner. We all knew that this would happen sooner or later. Just calm down, this is not the end of the world.

Re: Live from Vienna - EUROVISION 2015 TONIGHT

Sweden deserved to win, it was one of the best performances of the night, bbut Italy was absolutely robbed. I wanted ESC to be hosted in another country, above all after the weak show that we saw in Malmo in 2013. Another conclusions:
- The votes in general are more fair than some years ago. At least the votes are not that obvious.
- France, UK, Germany and Spain should seriously think about withdrawing, it's becoming an absolute joke. Spain 21th?? France 25th? Germany last with 0 points?? Really? Millions of viewers come from those countries, and we are always at the bottom. It's happening since 2005, when the whole big 4 were all at the bottom. Nowadays, and for me, is more than disappointing.
- I also think the countries should sing more in their own language
- and please, more control for those juries who don't vote for other unfriendly countries (Armenia-Azerbaijan is a clear example. Or Azerbaijan getting votes from the smallest countries...omg, it stinks

This year I am really unhappy and disappointed, not for the top, which is well-deserved, but for that things that make the contest less interesting.

Spain, you should withdrawn. Europe's not gonna give us a fair placement anymore.

Countries knew, but do you think televtorers knew the voting system too?
Don't missunderstood my post either, Sweden is a clear winner, but as I see things it is really unfair to televoters, that even if they vote million times for one specific country, it will get 0 points. I know it can't be announced before televoting "don't vote for Italy, because your jury memeber already ranked them so they can get maximum of 0 points", but anyway this is some kind of robbing televoters too.
