Re: Live from Vienna - EUROVISION 2015 TONIGHT

I have a feeling that people wanted Italy to win because they wanted Roma 2016 and not Stockholm 2016?? The destinations of ESC 2016 shouldn't decide the winner.

Nope. Not the case. I was okay and happy with Sweden winning (and I still am.. it WAS winning-worthy.. the song, the everything, Mans is great, I don't care if Sweden hosts it again, they're fun... I hope we can have Petra back once more. :D). Yesterday I thought that it's gonna be like always and the jury and public agreed on the winner and it's all good, I had no bitter feelings, if that's how it is then that's how it is, even if I preferred Italy winning after a long while and loved their song more. Buut turns out that's not how it its. Because Italy was also winning-worthy, obviously, since that's how the public, the majority, decided. Rome 2016 just was so close, and I can't lie, it would have been a lot more awesome and more exciting for sure and something different. That's definetly not why people wanted Italy to win though or why it all feels unfair. It's just an afterthought, a small part. It's still all about Italy not winning after the public put it first aka Italy losing because of a couple hundred people, also some people saying the song and performance just deserved the victory a lot more. Personally I find that they're pretty equal, though. It's a great modern song (and I do want Eurovision to move into that direction more and more), great performance, a deserved win in all means if they had actually won the televote.. But I'm still happy for Sweden and Mans. It all just feels a little bit off, I wish it would not have gone this way and I could live with peace in my heart. :D

Re: Live from Vienna - EUROVISION 2015 TONIGHT

No. ^^ But quality should stay over show and the opinion of millions of people should stay over 200 people...

The point is that even with 100% televoting the so called quality songs can fail because diaspora/neighbour voting.

Also all countries know the rules for times ago. Why participate if you don't agree with the voting system??

Also this has nothing to do will quality:

1. Who decide what is quality?? Everyone have different taste. For me Italy's entry isn't quality.
2. Already before the contest many people did not want Sweden to win because we won 2012. What has that to do with quality?? How do we know that Sweden's win 2012 didn't affect the televoting in Italy's favour?
3. Italy has bigger diaspora and more friends than Sweden. How do we know this didn't affect the results?
4. People blame the esc juries to vote down Italy. But the fact is that Il Volo didn't won the jury voting in San Remo. If the italian juries couldn't see the "quality" of the song then why should ESC juries do that? Remember Italy is one of the juries fave countries. Still they didn't like Italy that much this year. That would tell you something.
5. Even with 100% televoting there will be people complaining about the results. People did complain with the wins of Sweden 2012, Denmark 2013 and Austria 2014. Even if they won both televoting and jury voting. No voting system will please all people.
6. The results of televoting wouldn't looked like that if Italy and Sweden switch places in the running order. The jury votes give all entries the chance no matter og the running order. With 100% televoting we can already now send home the entries in the first half in the future. They will not have any chance if winning.

Re: Live from Vienna - EUROVISION 2015 TONIGHT

Oh what a night! Last night's Eurovision Song Contest 2015 voting procedure was interesting, but it quickly became a three horse race between Italy, Russia and Sweden. For a while I thought Russia would win, but after the UK cast its votes Sweden overtook Russia and maintained their lead to the end.

Commiserations to Germany and Austria who finished with nul points. That's the first time a country has finished on nul points since 2003. That's the worst nul points ever! When the UK finished on nul points in 2003, there were 25 other countries who could have voted for the UK. This time there were 39 countries who could have voted for Germany, and 39 countries who could have voted for Austria, thereby making their nul points this year far worse than that of the UK in 2003. This must be the worst showing for the reigning champion / host country in the history of the ESC. Bad luck also to the UK's Electro Velvet who finished 24th out of 27th with just 5 points. Mind you, I didn't think much of "Still In Love With You" when I first saw its preview video early March.

So Sweden won with Måns Zelmerlöw "Heroes", scoring 365 points. That's Sweden's second victory in the 2010s decade and sixth victory overall to-date. Thus Sweden has achieved its shortest gap between wins to-date, 3 years (2012 to 2015). That's one of the shortest in the history of the ESC.

Well done to Sweden, the song was definitely catchy and I loved the animated drawings. However the songs I would have most liked to win were Montenegro or Italy, or even Australia. All three, in my opinion, were better than Sweden. Just to remind you, I voted for Estonia, Australia, Montenegro and Italy. If none of those could have won, I'd have preferred Russia to have won this time instead of Sweden as I thought Russia's song was better than Sweden's. Anyhow well done Russia for coming second and Italy for coming third.

Go cry somewhere else. Your song sucked and you bought your victory and everything is clear now.

You are just mad that people aren't sucking it to Sweden this time.

I'm actually very happy! The one that is not happy is you and your italian fanboys.

Thank god the juries saved us from a terrible old-fashioned cliche love song from Italy.

Please stop the useless bashing from both sides. Sweden won fair and square whether you like the song/rules or not.
