Re: Live from Vienna - EUROVISION 2015 TONIGHT

Is it :pl:'s destiny to receive 0-2 points from e.g. UK? No matter what we send, juries will always put us lower, because they have Polish diaspora in mind.

Last year UK jury said that Poland was too NSFW (As if Conchita was) Now they will probably say that it was too boring.

BTW, Donatan is the best Polish juror ever! :ru: 1st and :se: 19th xyaay

NSFW? Too erotic and not family friendly

Oh - I meant how was Conchita NSFW?

It is not the most appropriate word to describe Conchita, my fault. I just meant that if you vote for a drag queen, you cant vote down Poland.

Italy is the real winner, stop!

Don't be a bad loser. Italy was great and I didn't mind them winning (it was my no. 2 yesterday after the final) but Europe has decided that way and that's it. I didn't like many of the other winners the previous years and my taste of music usually differs from most other people and I had to live with it.

This year, I just liked Sweden, also Russia, Italy... it was close and sometimes, some votes are crucial, that's life.

You can be satisfied that Italy was loved all over Europe and you don't know how close they won the televoting in some countries, maybe in some country 1.000 people voted for Italy and 999 for Sweden and Italy gets 12 points and Sweden 10 - that's as unfair as the jury vote then. ;)

An opinion from you
And if we had sent this song to represent Italy we would have liked more of Swedish song? (maybe sung in English)

Guys, we all know that this would happen someday. (The televoting-winner not making it)
But that's the game - A lot of countries did worse because of the juries this time ... I guess changes are needed in the voting system.

Well even if Mans had won just because of juries, which is not fair, :se: is the winner this year. Everybody knew the rules. As much as I like :it: , I dont think Mans should give the trophy to them. I just hope, that we saw juries for the last time this year.

I don't understand...what's the point of having a jury if their not going to vote for quality? They wouldn't let Serbia and Montenegro in final, they didn't let Czech Republic in final and they stole victory from Italy... Just not getting it.

You were liked by the millions of people. Italy once again showed the quality of music.
And for me Il volo is better than Nek

Both Nek and Il Volo had masterpieces in SanRemo. But Il Volo is better for European viewer. I don't want Nek to fail in ESC.

Re: Live from Vienna - EUROVISION 2015 TONIGHT

Now I have been reading and writing here for weeks. People have tried to explain to me why the Italian entry is considered "good", but:
I'm still nowhere near understanding this, not even close.
How can something so "old", so "backward" and old-fashioned become so successful? Privately, I like classical music a lot, and I have a large CD collection, including many opera recordings. But I do not want to hear something like that at the ESC.
Is it really that simple: Put three guys in suits who are considered "handsome" by a large number of females and then let them sing some old-style love song without any real content???
I kinda feel the same. I have nothing agains that style of music, not at all, not even at the ESC. But that song did nothing for me. I couldn't even hear what they were singing during the chorus and don't remember the melody of that song at all.

Were they helped by the fact they performed last?

But who decides what quality is and what not? A catchy mainstream song can be quality too because it appeals to many people, can be a big hit on the radio and that's what you call success. It's all in the eye (well, ear in this case ;)) of the beholder...

Juries need to go...they manipulate the results way more than the public voting. Just look at Italy, Albani and Romania having big diaspora won the televote, and what does the jury do? Every single member of the jury puts Albania and Romania in the last two places. Really? Those were the worst two songs of the night for evey memeber of the jury? It's actually quite xenophobic what some juries do, why would you want so much to wipe out the public vote?

And Natalia Szroeder put Italy last, wow

I have no idea what she was doing in the jury. Why would they pick someone ammm proffesional? Piasek? Justya Steczkowska? Grzegorz Markowski? Patrycja Markowska?

Natalia Szoeder? Please...
