How someone can call Elina and Stig charming and not Monika and Vaidas is beyond me... considering the former didn't even make eye contact in one performance that's rather amusing actually.

That's the point of their song though. They should be facing away from each other or have a partition between them, the singing is suppose to be their thoughts.

Maybe i'm not charmed by the forced cheese I just witnessed in the Lithuanian performance? I actually cringed a little when I watched it. Elina and Stig charm me in a strange kind of way. I said it in their topic how I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was about them that charmed me.

I think Vaidas' rotten personality is evident in his expressions and the way he acts, so no, I don't find him charming at all, and Monika is kind of cute in appearance but I've always found her quite flat as a performer.

I don't find them cute either. Elina and Stig are cute/charming together. Can we have a fan war please between Estonia and Lithuania? I'll ready my strong worded essays and gifs.

Elina and Stig cute and charming :?

The funny thing is all across the net people are praising their song but disliking the performance. "Zero chemistry," "that performance, yikes not good, needs a complete overhaul" is being thrown around a lot xshrug

NOW RANT go for it

As Vaidas said, Eurovision is cheese. Without quirkiness it's nothing more than the X Factor with countries: there is passion in the Lithuanian performance that the Estonian is lacking in. Monika and Vaidas are enjoying themselves whilst at the same putting on a damn good performance.

Don't you want Lauren Harries for the UK? Now now, I'm sure there are plenty of people who would have to look away if she was on stage frolicking around in a cheap Primark frock.

Surely though, that was for my face xqueenbitch

Also the fact they got the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire diaspora vote because their parents apparently come from around there. I remember hearing about it on the Local ITV news - They were so hyped up about their links to the region.

Those two factors were pivotal in their success with their votes.

I didn't like Elina and Stig's first performance, but I thought tonights one was brilliant. It's not a particularly happy song. They can't be grinning at each other non stop and kissing during the performance. The staging and shots from the final worked a treat for me. I loved it. Stig is wonderfully deadpan throughout most of the song. Elina smoulders as she glances over at a still impassive Stig, who stares straight on. I just think it's wonderful, and is a great change from all the other cringe, forced lovey dovey stuff we usually have to put up with when it comes to duets at Eurovision. It's a love song, but a different kind, and with a different performance to go with it. I like them together a lot. At first I questioned whether it was a good pairing, but now I can confidently say they're a perfect match.

It doesn't bother me what other people are saying. Most people said Rona Nishliu was only screaming for instance, when I knew there was so much more underneath itxqueenbitch

Dammit :lt:, you had gold in you hands....GOLD!

First thing's first, I really loved this song when I heard it the first time, but this version really doesn't do the song justice. The version with Vaidas was fun, uplifting and filled with positive energy. Monika really drags the song down with her below average voice and her constant need to show her singing, where she is much louder than Vaidas. Also the kiss feels kind of forced, cheesy and gimmicky and I don't like that at all.

From an tactical standpoint this is also an stupid decision, Vaidas alone would have been much more refreshing. With the two of them, they will constanly be compared as the poor mans Common Linnets, and as another duet like Elina & Stig. And let's all be honest here, that songs blows this one out of the water.

I really don't try to be negative here because I do still LIKE the song, I'm only dissapointed in their way to present it, but all the best of luck to :lt: ............7points

I want fun and passion at Eurovision as well. In my opinion, something like this is sooner turning it into another version of the X Factor than anything else. It's just such a bland, unadventurous piece of music, ticking all the right boxes for the masses. I don't come to Eurovision for stuff like this. Where is the quirkiness in this? I'm honestly failing to see what is "quirky" about it. Everything about the song/performance comes across as forced to me. Sometimes I can let slide my bias against this kind of stuff (like Malta last year). In this case, I really don't think I can though. The performers are especially bad, and the whole thing does not come across as genuine.

What has Lauren Harries got to do with the Lithuanian topic, or the points I was making? Yes, i'd like Lauren Harries for the UK and she'd be a darn sight more interesting musically and performance wise than this.
