Aidan O'Connor. Eight of the sixteen songs in Lithuanian final this year were written by him. He sent the same songs to Moldova and in previous years he has also tried his luck in Romania, Malta, etc.

LRT will probably use a national final, after the success that this year's one somehow got.

It was said to be a ratings success because of some of the participants
In a system where nobody has ownership of a song or control over which song they will end up with, the majority of the entrants will be bored celebrities with nothing better to do, because most musicians who care about their songs and most singers who care how they represent themselves won't want to risk it.

So would I, Lithuanian is my favorite European language (no, I don't go around saying that for every language in the respective country's thread ) Unfortunately, hardly anybody even considers it in their NFs. Latvia incidentally managed to get a few more Latvian language songs than usual this year, a couple of which were even well-received in the final, by promoting their "Made in Latvia" theme this year (which, in my opinion, was a good NF until the final result.) Since Lithuania obviously needs to try something new, I would be in support of Made in Lithuania.

They would be my top pick, too. That's why part of me wishes that LRT would try internal selection - I wonder which artists would be willing to do it if they were given control and didn't have to play the NF game. (Why does another part of me not want that? Because you only have to look at the lineup of the NF this year to know who they might ask instead
)
