Absolutely sensational. I think it's pretty clear where my votes shall be going in the final now. Slovenia, Serbia and Albania might get 1 vote if they are lucky, Latvia is getting a whole heap of them from me.
The performance pretty much left me speechless. It looked as good on camera as we had been promised from all the reviews. Aminata has never sounded better and the whole thing was just in pretty much a different league to everything else tonight. Most of the other stuff competing could barely touch it (and I happened to think it was a very good semi final). So many disasters have happened for me this year, throughout the Eurovision NF seasons and the semi's, my predictions have been atrocious.. but one thing i've always said is that this girl is sailing through, and look, she did. She'll come top 5. She has to. Jury and Public need to restore my faith somewhat.
Another shocking thing tonight was finding out my best friend who is not a Eurovision fan (but I force him to watch it each year) voted 15 times for Latvia
I only voted the once. I didn't think he'd like it either as I could never get him into FKA Twigs (who reminds me a lot of Aminata). This girl is polarizing but has incredibly wide appeal also. Dark horse of the year certainly. Has always been.

Oh gosh, I want to place a bet. I've said from the beginning she could win, and I feel it more than ever right now. I kicked myself last year when I said Conchita would win the moment I heard her song. I could have made a small fortune if I was a betting man. The problem is I don't want to start gambling..... but imagine if I put £10.00 on her now and she won!? I'd have £670.00
