You liked it? I remember I was slightly bored. :D

Haha yeah i did. Well, Almodovar has done better movies, i think we both agree on this. Julieta was kinda simple but really heartwarming. I even caught myself being in tears on some scenes. Oh well, i guess i get less cynical with age...

Thought it was just a movie about a zoo, turned out to a movie from 1939-1945 Warsaw Zoo  and the role the Zoo owner and his wife had in the rescuing of 100s+ of Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto and getting them to safety, all the right under the nazi's noses.

Not heard of it before but I will defo give it a watch, seems like it would be up my street about the War :p Although if it involves rescuing the Jews and animals being bombed and that I'm guessing it'll be like </3 Still not really recovered from watching War Horse all those years ago lol.

Well the animals are removed after the invasion of Poland in 1939 and taken to Berlin zoo, so you don't see animals getting blown to hell throughout. It was a very hard hitting film, but seeing what they did makes it a really worthwhile film. I knew you liked this sort of stuff, so that Is why I mentioned you.
